That certainly is a nice lineup! 200 minutes!? The bandwidth I tell you! :confused:o_O

On PC VR, when a video has low bitrate you see the background very blurred.

I don't know how to obtain JAV VR with good quality that I can download to my PC and use with my PC player, not the awful player with DRM that use R18... :hiks:

Ah, I see. Yes, I certainly notice this as well. I think they're doing this on purpose as a technique to keep file sizes down. They see the background as something we're less likely to focus on than the images we see up close. I might find it frustrating as well if I was using a higher-end PC based VR headset. I think we're going to see a lot of advancements in just a few short years. Techniques like foveated rendering will be common, where you won't even notice parts of a scene that are being rendered in lower quality.

I've purchased quite a few scenes from Afesta.com, without using a proprietary player for downloads. Have you tried the R18 version? Is it really that bad?

Yes I have bought some titles at A Festa, and they don't have DRM so I can use my PC player. But they don't have all the titles, and some I am interested have DRM and you must use its Dimension player. The PC versión is terrible, the worst player I have ever used in all my life. And it hasn't got zoom out, the girls are giants. It is an awful mobile player bad ported to PC.

I have tried R18.com too, but they don't allow to download files to a PC. And the streaming is very low quality from Europe. And you must use a browser like Firefox or Edge as a player, with almost no options.

It seems it is impossible to legally buy and download JAV VR from out of Japan...

Are you talking about HP Reverb G2? That is a very interesting device in terms of screen quality.
I am looking forward to it.

Yeah, I was referring to both the Reverb G2 and the Valve Index. They're probably the two best consumer-grade headsets available for VR porn in the immediate future; G2 certainly has the edge on resolution, but Index still has a very good image and much better field-of-view than the G2 (and probably tracking, too). Ordering either right now requires waiting on a list for months.

This could be interesting... Cinera Edge, stand-alone VR glasses focussed on video. Like to watch films on a 1.200 inches 5K screen. To watch standard videos, Blu-ray 3D and VR films. Hardware-adjustable IPD and you can adjust the diopters...

Looks like vaporware. Even if it was out, It would probably be not worth it. I will believe it when it's out. I already pre-ordered an HP Reverb G2. Now that should be good for porn!! No SDE! .. The next step for all devices though, would be to use Micro LED and HDR technology. That all depends on public interest.

I don't think it is vaporware. It has been founded and the technology is viable.

HP Reverb G2 look great, they could be my next glasses if my Samsung Odyssey Plus break. But they need a powerful PC that I don't have right now.

Could be a lot of things... What hardware do you have? What software do you use?

Still I see too much clothes for my tastes... :(
And still waiting a lesbian VR film... Have been months since the last one... Also, no matures.... :(

And too much compilations in the last weeks. Maybe it is the coronovirus, they are filming less films...

I think the "problem", if it can be called that, with JAV VR is the push, need, desire the directors and probably more so the producers have to make heavy content instead of plentiful content. These titles coming out that are even 60 minutes long let alone 200 are way bigger than even hours long FHD titles. They have to be due to the dimensions and bitrate, mind you. 120 minutes at 6000kbps for an FHD title, depending on content can be between 5-6 GB give or take. The last BIG title I got was the Hitomi VR title MDVR-092 which came in all in all at 39.6GB for right at 3 hours of content (2:55:10).

Granted, at 4K 4320x2160 60FPS 32.5 Mbps the smallest scene of 14 minutes by itself was 3.26 GB. That's basically a full 90 minute FHD Idol title, pretty much. I'd much rather have smaller scenes for these titles, that way they can keep VR going for a very long time! That would help gain more interest, no? So, say your favorite star, we'll take Hitomi and this title as an example, they could have filmed all the scenes, there are 8 here, and released them two at a time each month for 4 months. Letting the fans salivate each coming month for more content. This title is 1280 Yen currently, that's less then $12 USD. By comparison, a random newer title KIWVR-151 is only 65 minutes (1:05:00) and costs the same 1280 Yen. Don't get me wrong, I'm like you and would rather pay the same amount for more content, but, the size is just a bit too much to take, IMO.

I don't understand your argument... They are giving you 200 minutes for 12 dollars and you are asking to pay more in parts??!!

If the bandwidth is a problem for you... Well, download it scene by a scene in different days... The releases are divided into scenes, even in legal stores (at least at A Festa where I have bought some titles). You don't need to download it all at the same time... If they sell the full release in parts you are going to pay more and download the same...

If you download from Akiba or similar the only problem is Filejoker and its outdated 10GB per day limit, but there are services that let you download 50 GB per day. And if you buy legally, yo don't have limits to download.

VR needs the best image quality so I don't mind to download big files. But please don't reduce image quality and bitrate even more because that will kill VR. Almost all companies have already reduced bitrate a lot in 2020.

I actually said nothing of the kind:

You surely don't understand my argument :D If you look, right now you can buy non-VR compilation titles for, often times, less than first run standard titles. Here is a recent example:

PYM-346 480 minutes - 2480Yen
480min.jpg

MIBB-003 140 minutes - 3300Yen
140min.jpg

Both released on the same day. As you can see, depending on what you want to buy, we already pay more for less content, I don't hear much about that fact. Someone buying MIBB-003 could surely wait until some of that title's scenes are in a 480 minute compilation later to get the "best deal", but, this stuff is immediate for most! In terms of need/want. My point was for studios to hopefully make shorter length content and use the model they have highlighted above which has worked since forever. The buying public has yet to force them to change that model I'm thinking because no one minds or cares.

And haven't we already proven that companies aren't reducing bitrate? Or did we find one that was?
