The 60fps converts certainly helps with the cowgirling.

I would bet they will add freeze moments since there is more to decode.

Do you guys think the extra frames are really worth to sacrifice image quality because of the reencode?

For me frame doubling with SVP could be a thing at playback time, that way no reencode is needed.

I have SVP too, but never figured out how to get it to work with VR video players (Virtual Desktop / Whirligig). Do you happen to know how?

No, 60fps conversions add interpolation between frames, so a stutter would still be there.

I can personally vouch for 60fps converting. I would say that most of the JAVs improve with 60 fps. Sometimes they do not though. I've been using MegUI to convert movies for years now and it's awesome.

There are options to make the new file quality basically equally good as the original. You really can't see the difference, so don't let that discourage you.

BUT hopefully Afesta (and soon perhaps/hopefully other JAV companies) will start delivering 60fps videos any moment (day?) now so we won't have to think about such obsolete things.
