See, with me, I am very picky about who I tell certain things to. I usually tell "otaku" dudes about the type of stuff I'm into, but most of my otaku friends are way too nerdy for me. I'm one of the "cool guys" that a lot of people know type, but my interests very diverse, but I don't really like to hang out with geeks, the person at least has to have a good style or fashion sense. You know, the way you act and the people you hang with reflect on you, same as if you hang out with a criminal, you're automatically one too because you hang with him, no hate.

As for answering the actual thread topic. I have a few online friends who are into Hentai and stuff, even if i have some more specific interests i don't have any friends who share them. I can make a bet a lot of guys don't share due to fear of being criticized or 'disowned' by some people.
Yeah i think it's a shame everyone in general can't be more open, and a lot of the time you can't hint you like something without it being obvious you're into it.
That and i believe there is a large difference between fantasy and reality.
