The fact that a lot of jav intersects with Japanese organized crime there should be plenty of stories, I actually follow a lot of Japanese news sites and there's always some jav story involving illegal prostitution or some kind of scheme dealing with money laundering, sometimes even murder.

A good source of information for this kind of stuff used to be tokyoreporter(dot)com but they seemed to have closed up shop.

The best source in English now is https://www.zenra.net/blog
Also worth checking out https://www.r18.com/news/

In Chinese (and obviously Japanese) there are better (more time-responsive and better coverage of all news/gossips) options, the best one is http://www.playno1.com/

All these slightly suffer from the fact that anyone who can get insider info are either part of the industry or at least adjacent to the industry. So they all have to mind staying on good grace with the industry.

Mainstream media (Japanese) sometimes get hold of some dirt, folks related to uncensored vids getting arrested, tax evasions etc. But since they don't care about protecting the industry, the industry also don't give them any co-operations and these media can be plagued with speculations substituting for (lack of) facts.
