YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Fireworks, hotdogs and good times is often what comes to mind when thinking about Independence Day. On July [4], the 374th Force Support Squadron will bring those traditions and more to life...

Independence Day is a major holiday in the United States and overseas at American facilities [including Japan].

While the use of personal fireworks is not allowed at Yokota, there are many places in the surrounding communities that firework use is allowed.

As you spend the day with family and friends, please take a moment to remember the sacrifices of that time in 1776 as well as those we make today.
