Can't stream my bought DMM movies - Help please

Hi everyone,

I purchased a couple movies on DMM that were unable to be found via streaming or sharing.

I used Mullvad vpn to be able to access the site, since they geoblock everything.

After I bought the movies and found them in my inventory I tried to watch, but I always get the same error.


I tried changing ipv6 to ipv4 on my vpn, tried different Japanese Servers.
Tried Firefox, Chrome, Mullvad Browser, Brave and Opera with DRM enabled and every extension disabled.

I installed the DMM video player but I cant watch it since I only bought the movies as a 7day streaming item and not downloadable.
Even on my smartphone I get the same error on my browser and their video app.

I have no more ideas, I really have no more clue what to do.
Please if anyone can help out here, that would be amazing.

According to AI, that's an error code that means something is interfering with the connection. Could be an antivirus or some browser plugin so disabling those and clearing the cache, stuff like that might help, but it's more likely that they're detecting you have a VPN connection and they're blocking that. They've been known to block many VPN providers so getting one that actually works can be tricky. If that's an option, trying a different VPN might help, but that's just a gamble.

Maybe someone else who actually still use DMM these days outside of japan can hopefully help better.
