I dont know of any poster that actually is employed by a filehoster but filehosters do often pay uploaders for traffic to their site. Filehosters have ads and they get paid from advertisers based on the number of page views, (or something along those lines), so it makes sense for the filehosters to give incentives to bring in traffic. If it was not somewhat lucrative you probably would see next to no traffic in the direct download areas here. I prefer torrents myself.

I ask because I can get the latest of these DVDs.
I am wondering if posters of these scenes are getting the DVDs and getting some affiliate money for using these sites, like wupload, to distribute their split files.
or,
if they are putting them up on these sites with some sort of fake account with no intent on getting money; just to provide the content.

it depends on how much is "decent" for you
i could tell you my numbers, but that wouldn't help because uploading is a hobby for me, and the more i earn, the more i spend in faster servers, hosting for my site, seedboxes, etc.
sure, you CAN make some money, but not with porn
warez, mainstream movies, 0day games and apps, that's what you need to look at
that's... interesting, to say the least!

I see now what is going on and the reason folks are posting their files in 100 meg size. It creates more traffic & bonus points for the individual and much longer downloads for the free user. I do wish I could afford to be a member of ALL file hosting sites - but we all know that ain't gonna happen. It would be nice if Akiba had a minimum file size of at least 250 meg / file to limit all of that waiting & captcha crap. Not bitchin about any posters contributions here - just hoping for a more perfect world. LOL
