Downloading from streaming sites with browser extensions

In the past month or so @SUNBO has got me onto pulling things from streaming sites. Prior to this, my goto was sukebei torrents but if the JAV was more than ~12 to 24-months old, I'd have a tough time getting something decently seeded. All the gems brought up here would largely go unexplored. Streaming sites like SupJav and JavGuru host older titles, and I prefer pull down the file for viewing. I use CocoCut and VideoDownloaderPro chrome extensions.

As an example, I wanted to get SHKD-957, based on a recommendation on Zenra.

Poorly seeded on sukebei, and usually that'd be where I'd give up. But SupJav has it.

I find that I have to switch back and forth between the server options beneath the playback controls. I find I have best luck with the "ST" or "SB" servers when they're available. Be sure to start playback of the video as well; seems CocuCut and VDP need playback to grab the link. You have to tolerate a p0rn ad onslaught, especially when you start the video streaming. A small price to pay IMO.

Once the video was playing, VDP was able to catch a downloadable link. Click the green box and start the download via Chrome. Bam.

Cocucut was also successful.

CocoCut will open a new tab to start the download. This isn't my preference but you can also get a downloadable link to use your browser instead if you click the "i".

Sometimes VDP will fail to give me any options; in those cases usually CocoCut will give you an option to download the "stream". Will post screengrabs of that scenario next time I run across it.

Next example. Wanted to check out JUC-229, after from a Zenra review of it:

But that flick is from 2010. I usually wouldn't even have bothered to search for it. But oh have times have changed. sextb has it:
I had to do a lot of random clicking between servers (five of them in this case, and lots of ads along the way) before CocuCut gave me some options.

If I see one with a reasonable filesize, I go for that one, otherwise I click on one of the "stream" options.

I've got to be honest... I have to be desperate to see something if I'm going that route. It's probably both niche and "old" (10+ years). While some streaming sites might let you download the source file, I bet a ton of them are re-encodes for Tube formatting.

I've been torrent centric myself for the longest time but recently came around to forking out for file hosting services.

Not a big fan of FJ to be honest but I appreciate that it helps pay the bills here. Feel like a debrid service and one or two other file hosts will work well for a good amount of older material. Maybe switch the hosts around when the sub runs out.

There are a lot of good threads on various forums out there that aren't even specifically JAV focused. I'm snobbish now about downloading anything less than 1080p (720p at a pinch) for titles less than six or seven years old.

For example, I'm looking at multiple threads of Keep2Share and Rapidgator hosts of 1080p lesbian JAV at the moment that probably amount to more than 5 terabytes of data, representing more than a thousand titles in all likelihood.

EDIT: Sorry if it feels like I'm campaigning or proselytizing. Just hoping to help people get the best possible versions they can. I know budget and data storage constraints will factor in.

I hate seeing inferior, downsized, re-encoded, watermarked crap get reshared and become the only remaining source. I get that your average teenager with a 1TB drive isn't going to be looking for 20GB 4K transfers of too many files... but man... 300MB "MaxJAVpopwhatever" watermarked versions of three-year old titles chafes my ass.

The problem for me when downloading as opposed to torrenting is that it's easy to become a leech. Currently in an "acquisition phase" admittedly. Collecting for collecting's sake can definitely be an addiction.

@intrepid8 you're not a snob....you're a Connoisseur. :p

But I get you. That used to be me. Now, I had a source (I'll leave it at that) that suddenly went away. I was used to getting 1080p source material. What a bummer when that disappeared for me! I did try share a lot here, at the time even titles that had never been. Then, I was in a VR phase (actually still but limited) and shared that as well. But once it was gone it was gone. I don't I'll ever have that source again.

You want to talk about being desperate to see something...I was used to zero day acquisitions. Well, I guess to feel that juice again, I, too, have been on the stream train. I've settled for what I can get. 3000Kbps 1080p is passable for me. I'm no longer looking for crystal clear, but clear enough. And, if you know how and when to look, you can find some 6000Kbps 1080p stuff being streamed. But, like you said I also try to save space (now) so I hardly do that unless it is something I really want in that quality or if I can upgrade the quality of a near and dear title.

My only concern now is that the streaming sites will get wise and change streaming services that are not as easy if not impossible to capture from.

There used to be octopus video downloader on chrome extension store. It was the best tool to download any video from any site. I downloaded a ton of jav from guru, highporn, sextb, javhdporn. But it was taken down a few months ago saying it was a 'adware'. Which I doubt it was, they just didn't want people to have the perfect downloader.

Real-Debrid is the way to go for rapidgator (and many popular ones like uptobox, uploaded). For Filejoker, k2s and more obscure ones, fakir-debrid works well.

Thanks for the mention. I have 2 more tips.
1. the ST server on supjav doesn't work on MacOS somehow, works on windows.
2. you can hide all the ads with a browser extension such as ublock origin.

No, it was malware. The last update before it was taken down tried to install apps in the background through a windows buffer overflow flaw. It would crash your machine, or cause numerous warnings that it was attempting to do so.

It's money, but I use Internet Download Manager. There isn't much it can't capture, about the only thing you have to remember is some sites don't like it if you try to access the file twice in a session, so you just got to refresh the page and hit the download button before it plays in the browser.

Does anyone know of a downloader that can download from Highporn? CocoCut and Video Downloadhelper chrome extensions aren't working for me.

It does work, amazing! Had been waiting months for a solution to this, thank you so much!
I have tried several tools and as of yet only IDM does the job every time, been using it for 2 years now. The only thing is some times, only .TS file are available to download, playing that file in VLC and other players is kinda meh...........so I usually use ffmpeg for a quick change to .MP4 after download. Anyone has any other alternative for this .TS file its appreciated although I dont mind it that much hehe.
