I love the stories from FA-Pro and Nagae Style, they have that realistic, creepy kind of vibe. Don't get me wrong, I love the prestigious girls from S1 and other "top tier" companies, but I often get tired of the redundancy, especially when I'm binge watching.

Tameikegoro and Madonna! Right, I forgot about those two. I love the actual acting in the films from those studios, makes it more of an actual movie and adds a certain erotic feel... They almost always go with mature/milf actresses, though. But I guess that's their specialty.

Back to the topic, according to Mai Sakashita's wiki page, she retired in September 2004, only about a year after her AV debut. From what I can understand, porn work is taking its toll on her body, so she stopped. You can't trust my limited japanese knowledge, though, so just check this link.
