http://javhunt.com/

It's mostly in Japanese but pretty easy to navigate.

I'm kind of confused about this site. First of all there's no ads, or malware on it. So if there's a scam here I have no idea what it might be.

It has a whole bunch of titles listed, but the links only seem to work at certain times of day. Most of the time it only shows 1 link and that takes you straight back to the home url...
But other times (usually between 7pm -2am for me, this is GMT +8) you get 3 links per title and they are for filepost rar files.
Because of the links going down all the time it's taken me 3 days to get 1 part. I extracted it, and it was definitely JAV, but it was a completely different title.
Again, virus, malware free and no ads. No one seems to respond to the comments box, or ever approve any comments you make.

Usually I wouldn't care, but this site claims to have a bunch of titles that I've never been able to find elsewhere.

Also these 2 sites seem to be almost identical

http://avcute.com
http://uujav.com/

I'm totally confused why anyone would make such a site and actuall take the time to upload the wrong files etc.

it's also ranked -relatively- pretty high on alexa, to add to the weirdness

So if there's a scam here I have no idea what it might be.
I managed to visit it at a time where links are up.

All movies are pointed towards the same three files on filepost. So the owner isn't taking the time to upload a bunch of fake files, just three.

I also noticed that tons of "movies" are posted at once. There's something like 90 pages that were posted on November 5.

It's probably just a scam to get people to download the files and earn the owner money. It'd be fairly easy to write a script to grab new release info from DMM and mass post fake files.

The only thing that confuses me is why at most times the links just lead back to the home page.

A couple more to avoid:
http://avdvdiso.blogspot.com/
http://www.avotaku.com/

I fear this is trending.

This time they're being even more scummy. The files are too big to download as a free user, so if you're tricked the owner will get 60% of the your premium fee.

avdvdiso is pretty obvious. All links go to the same two files, and sometimes the filepost links repeat.

avotaku is pretty tricky though. I saw about four unique sets of files, so the filesizes appear to vary from post to post. However, it becomes apparent when you look at the sixteen hour box sets and see they're only 1GB or so.

About JAVHUNT.COM, AVCUTE.COm etc
Actually i stumbled upon these sites too and I was getting my hopes up.

I dont know where you guys see filepost links there..

All the links are of the type
http://linkto.im/372458

I reasearched stuff like this cause i had never seen it but it appears to be they use SHORT(hidden)links which are easily made with some sites that create short links. However most people use other sites like
-tinyurl.com, etc

Just these sites use linkto.im

There's Short URL Expanders out there but they are for the popular tinyurl made short links or for many others EXCEPT none of those sites expand linkto.im short links

Which means , not necessarily that the links are fake at JAVHUNT but actually it could be these guys made their own SHORT URL Expander for themselves and are using it to share it with friends. maybe they are sharing their URL Expander only with some of their friends or with some japan community.

Which is sad. I wish they would've used TINYURL or something else
like i think this is popular in japan
--> p.tl
-->TinyURL.. Which ends up with links like "tinyurl.com/342"

I watched a video on youtube and a japanese guy was explaining Short URL and he showed himself using p.tl and TinyURL

@josolopSon3
As was said, for a couple hours of the day there are many linkto.im links instead of one, and they lead to filepost files. At other times it just leads to the homepage.

You're right though. Those sites seem to be the only people using linkto.im.

I'm not convinced that the site isn't just scraping DMM for covers and info and linking to random fake files for profit. JAVHunt "posted" over 500 films on November 26, and I've downloaded a couple of files from filepost when available and saw they were fake.

Hey I think i just got fooled again. I went to a neighbor site(it was listed on a japanese website) of javhunt.com

it had tons of great movies , so i downloaded like 10. Each one is AVI but i noticed they're all exactly the same size. 1.4GB.

and none of them open with anything. not with VLC, not with Quicktime, not with DivX, not with anything. i was hoping that it's just the fact that i dont have the codecs..but i'm pretty sure they're fake files.

i wasted like 3 hours downloading them.

They were from http://avdvdiso.blogspot.com/
so they're fake right?

I have also fallen for some of these link scam sites... if you are willing to sign into Google you can hide them from your search results. :notagain:
