hey guys...
this is just a light topic to talk about, nothing serious about it about your username
why you gave your Akiba username that name? what's the story/history about your username? and please be careful don't foolishly mention about your password in this topic

for example:
my username is wirama
I use this name because it's an anagram from my middle name and sounds pretty cool. I'm using anagram because I was watching The Matrix and realize that Neo is an angram from One (or The One), and I started to anagram my whole name into something else (but unfortunately the name wirama doesn't have any meaning at all, it just sound cool)

Ur a sic puppy Aqua2213, (not that I am a saint or anything).

As far as my name goes....this is just who I choose to be while I am here. Any hidden meaning would be private and hard for anyone else to understand.

Good thread though.

As people here who have known me for years can atest, the girls in the water are platonic swimming friends.
Please... don't try to make my one sentence of describing my nick into something of deviance. :harp:

Sorry, they must have changed the meaning of the word deviant since last time I looked.

simple

I had heard some cool names on a radio show like
Troy Ota, Sue Zuki, Peter Doubt, and I started compiling
a list of my own. One night watching hockey,
"he shoots, and he scores!" Wait! Andy Scores.
I added the extra r to make it look Spanish like Torres.
Now Andy needs to find a lady named Shootsie to marry.
(actually my real name is Carl Start):snicker:

This user name dates back to my junior year of high school. I was a prude then so I thought it would be funny to have such a name...

I've thought many a time about picking a new one, but after you use a name on the Internet long enough you get a reputation and I don't want to give that up by switching names. :harp:

Mine is because I'm horrible at coming up with names to use, and didn't want to use either of my main 2 on here at the time I signed up. So since I couldn't come up with anything good to use, I decided to go with one of the worst I could think of.

I forget why I used Kagami, and Hawke was because I was watching Gundam SEED: Destiny around that time, and I liked Lunamaria's Zaku, so I used her last name as part of it.

As a teenager I worked as a dishwasher in quite a few places, and it didn't take long to realize that the pots and pans that had sauces in them were usually the hardest ones to clean. The gravy pots seemed particularly resistant to a good scouring, usually refusing to surrender the hardened scum that had boiled itself on to the bottom.
Good slime is hard to get rid of, so . . . . . . . :bingo:

I've been playing with Rubik's cubes since they were first marketed (around 1978). The original was 3 x 3 x 3. It took me two months to solve. In 1980, the 4 x 4 was marketed as 'Rubik's Revenge'. It took me 2 weeks to solve. In 1984, the 5 x 5 was marketed as the 'Professor Cube'. It took me over 20 years to solve, due to a special problem I could not resolve.

The next size - 6 x 6 - posed a severe engineering challenge. In order to turn a cube face 90°, the face must pass through the 45° turned position (obviously). If the face were cut into 6 x 6 small cubies, the corner cubies would be too small, and extend completely beyond the interior of the cube, thus leaving no way for the corner cubies to remain attached. Many engineers, scientists, and mathematicians were at a loss for a solution to this dilemna.

In 1989, I solved the construction a 6 x 6 x 6 rubik's type cube. I will not tell how - it is a clever cheat.

Hence, I am rubiks6. YaY
----------------------------------

Attached is a picture of one of my 6 x 6 cubes, with a nice pattern I arranged on it.

(P. S. - No, I am no Pani Verdes. He developed a solution for constructing a 6 x 6 x 6 (and larger) rubik's type cube, independently, and a bit different from and more clever than my solution, requiring fewer internal pieces. Also, I am neither Jung, Meffert nor Krell, all of whom have claimed to be inventors of the 5 x 5 cube.)

(P. P. S. - gravyslime, look here for a personal message to you.)

My username is Aquamarine because I'm a scuba diver and enjoy swimming in the Eastern Caribbean waters, which unlike Canadian and most Yankee waters, are bluish-green when viewed from a cruise ship.

And again, I am in no way shape, form or sense in any relation to the pedophile with a similar username to mine. Unlike him, I'm NOT into little boys who have yet to reach puberty.

I wanted to use a name that is completely different from the one I typically use and that most people IRL know about. I also wanted a name that was short (5 chars max) so this one adopted a term I often use at work, modified it and sprinkled a few letters from my real name.

Little bit, but not for many years. I haven't purchased an underwater housing for my cameras and the last ones I DID use were shitty little disposable cameras from nearly 10 years ago.

OMG...it's been like two years and your still harping on the sexual orientation soapbox to boost your own weak self-esteem issues and deep rooted feelings insecure in your own masculinity....(like myself and others like me are a threat to you).
I feel sorry for you ...sad little man.

btw...I listened to a small portion of that radio interview you gave (you posted it a year or two ago) and I see in real life you sound pretty everyday normal although slightly effeminate, but on the forum you try to portray yourself as a gutter mouth hater who thinks he's Rambo-esk. Your fooling no one.

enough is enough

Thank you, isityours. I'll take the heat from here. Derailment ? Yeah, I think so.

I'm only an asshole to people who deserve it.
You seem to think an awful lot of people deserve it. Who the hell made you judge of who deserves it ?@!

I tried to think of a decent response to the two of you that would not be biased, but I cannot.

You started this shit, aquamarine, and quite frankly, I'm sick of it.

You got a problem with pedophiles ? Well, then, you've got a problem with about a third of the members of this board.

All of us come here to have a good time - to enjoy ourselves. We all have different preferences, and most of us respect each others' differences. But, ooh, not you. Somebody has preferences different than your own, you are quite quick to point out what's wrong with them. Who the fuck are you, and what makes you better than most of the rest of us.?!?

Are you bothered, because someone has a monicker similar to your own ? (There are something like ten Thousand members here, y'know). Are you bothered because he has tastes quite different than your own ? (There are something like ten Thousand different taste and preferences participating on this board).

GET OVER IT DUDE.

We come here to enjoy ourselves. We come here to enjoy each others' company. None of us comes here to take shit from someone else who thinks they are better than most of the rest of us.

You are the most perfect troll, because you piss a lot of people off, but you keep it just low key enough to not get booted. Well Dayamn all that. I'm here to call your ass out.

STOP IT.

You see something you like, you hear something you like, you meet someone here you like - Cool. Otherwise, many of us would appreciate it if you'd keep your damned mouth shut. Didn't your mother teach you if you haven't got something good to say ( . . . ) ?

The exception to that rule is when something needs to be said. I try my best to be kind, but to you, something needed to be said.

Look, dude - many of us have tastes and preferences different than yours. Who's to say which of us is right ? Your criticisms are unneeded and unwarranted. Your hating is quite unproductive. In fact, it's quite a downer. I've been waiting a very long time to say this to you, but I can no longer restrain myself - Most of us are really not interested in hearing your opinion anymore.

(I apologize, if I have spoken for anyone other than myself).

------ edit ---an afterthought ------

Change your signature, aquamarine. Put some pretty girls, or some deep philosophical saying, or, maybe, a light-hearted joke. Few people are interested in your being an asshole - to anybody.
