Strange problem

I downloaded some AVs but when I tired to play them they started to buffer but would only reach a certain percentage, around 30% for both AVs
I tired both MPC and VLC as well as updating both the players and codes, didn't fix the problem
If anyone knows what is causing this give me a heads up

Hard to say. If you downloaded the AVs here you should provide the thread links. It could be the rip itself was bad, your video card is not up to the rip, (I can not play some Bluerays myself) or even a corrupt download. Of course there is always a chance it is a codec problem. Try downloading Gspot Codec Aplliance to see if it spots the problem, it will tell you if you have the correct codecs loaded, (among other things)

Sounds like the file is damaged. If your media player starts buffering the entire file when you open it, it's probably because it can't find the key frame index which would happen if you downloaded an incomplete file (i.e. if a file was split into 10 pieces and you only joined the first 9, or missed one of the parts in the middle).
