I don't want to piss on anybody's tastes, it's OK to like what you like.
But if these two performers are the cream of the crop these days (I've got to admit, I've never even heard from them, let alone watched one of their films), there's little hope of me finding new girls to get attached to.

Something to consider, why are there people defending those girls who you might never possibly meet face to face when a difference in opinion is expressed ?
They work in a industry where the truth and lies is mixed into a murky shade of grey for the sake of our entertainment and besides, it's not as if either opinion is going to make a difference in their career. It's their life afterall.
But it's good that those people have the passion and energy to do so.
December will be an expensive month as usual for me, but my bonus should be able to cover the import of all 3 DVDs of both girls' special label crossover and collaboration releases amongst other stuffs. Refusing to just purchase digital off Fanza just because the player is useless.

It's the perfect contrast here. @M1N0RA doesn't care for either of them, that's his taste, I have no issue with it.
I don't know how to describe your opinion or taste, anyway it doesn't matter. Whatever any member express his opinion, I have no business interfering. Example, @silent1one I disagree with him pretty much 95% of the time. But mostly I don't make a fuss with him. He said his piece, sometimes I put out a different opinion, mostly I don't bother. Let everyone forms his opinion of silent1one's opinion.
But you get my special attention, I want to smack you down every single time you cross the line (despite I don't always have the time to do so). It gives me special pleasure.
Why? Because you are often the first (and only) to bring something interesting to here, especially from social media. So unlike vast majority of members, you can't be ignored (actually everytime you managed to bring something without adding your poison, I make a point of giving you a like, please don't pretend you don't notice it). But you are very biased on your selection and you often twist and editorialize the facts to suit your bias. I can't even remember one single time you express an opinion and own up to it. You play word games, you use half truths, you never stand up like a man and speak as yourselves.
I have made myself perfectly clear before, I know you understand me but you pretend not to, and to be wronged by me. I don't expect things to change so you can count on me sniping you early and often.
Or it's like browsing S1's website every 7th and 19th to check their new releases, and not once being wowed or even mildly interested in a single release from either of them.
Even though both girls have been in previous VR videos I'll be glad to see them in something more recent. I'm also glad to see another studio doing VR, hopefully the quality will be comparable to KMPVR.

I have heard of them and I have watched their films but they don't impress me. In fact, I liked Shoko's OAE works more than her stuff in JAV. They are really pretty but too vanilla for me.
That being said, I have not watched many of their videos and I stopped following them soon after their debuts so I may be wrong. What are some of their best videos that I can watch to see if my mind can be changed?
I rather doubt it, both girls are celebs, their early vids already put their best assets forward. If you didn't buy into it then, you wouldn't buy into it now. Of course their celeb stardom is destined to fade over time, so either they will retire or evolve. So there's a chance they will evolve into something you like. So far I haven't seen them evolve yet.
Shoko was a gravue idol before coming to AV, so it's only natural that her IV is better than average. Personally I think Yua's IV (e.g. the most recent OAE-165) are also excellent. Quite a different feel from Shoko's. Their IVs really excellently express their model (Shoko) and pop idol (Yua) personas so they are very complimentary. So it will be quite interesting dynamics when they are on screen together. If the director plays it smart, they will both shine with individuality and complimentarity.
And no. I don't think it will convert non-fan. It will only be fan service for present fans.
