Why not explain the situation to the fucktard gaijins? Granted, they probably would have blown you off, but you could have at least tried instead of letting them get away with that. Plus, it's not like you're ever going to see them again. Plus, it's not like any two of them could take you on.

I dunno. Any group of white kids who grab Pichu hats probably are nice enough to be all "OMG! I'm so sorry! Here you go, little guy!" and give their hats to the kids.

Then again, I (as a non-resident) have to remember that you've lived there now for a long time and you are probably way, way, way too jaded about gaijin tourists to even bother with them anymore.

We should totally buy you a "GAIJIN, GO HOME!" t-shirt for your birthday. ;p

As a back-up shirt, "FOR ALL YOUR ANIMOO NEEDS, GO THE FUCK HOME."

Once you hit the age of 12, you're too old for the paper hat. The fact that a grown person would selfishly take one while actual kids are visibly waiting for them is just sad.

Not to mention that you'd be giving them a great story to take home. Probably a much better souvenir than a paper hat.

"OMG, you won't believe what happened in Japan! We totally cut in line to get these awesome pikachu paper hats. Then some guy runs up and starts pulling them off our heads! Then he kicked Charlie in the liver!"

I'd also like to take the time to thank aquamarine for continuing to post these pictures. Its nice to see a "slice of life" of sorts from overseas.

Are those greasers in Yoyogi Park? They look like a gang from "The Warriors". :joker:

I've heard about the Sunday music in Yoyogi Park, can you (or anyone) comment if its something worth seeing? :puzzled:

When I was there, the music was ok, more like "interesting to observe". There were 4 or 5 bands playing and a few more on the pedestrian area at the side of the stadium that leads south (if I remember correctly).
Plus there are the greasers/rockabillies and then again the cosplayers a few steps away from each other.

1 Yokohama Chinatown
2 Yokohama Sankei-en

4+5 Afters Hours bar, Koenji

Used the 3-week Japan Railpass for a little tour of the country (heading north first)
6+7 Kairaku-en, Mito
8 First time at Onsen, in Akiu, near Sendai
9 Rinno-ji, Sendai
10 Matsushima
