Well, you keep proving time and again that things really do go better with Coke. You got not only one down, but both. Truly amazing, and thank you.

You've also demonstrated that just because our usual final "turn-to" source, Sougouwiki, does not list names, it does not mean the answers may not be before our noses. (That is, as long as you're there to point the way.)

The names sounded familiar to me, too. I have movies from both, and I see from my notes that I had made remarks about Sayaka Minami/Risa Arisawa, such as "nice face."

While I have the chance, I want to thank you again for pointing me toward Minnano-av.com; I have been making use of it.

Aside from what it's good for, finding the English from the Japanese names in a quick way, I have not been able to figure out if this site can be useful otherwise. For example, I wish there was a way where one may click on a link to travel to some film listings of the actresses. Do you know if there is anything I've missed?

By the way, in case you (or others) were not aware, there is this other source that may also come in handy as a quick way to get to the English names.

Regarding your question about the film listing of the actresses on minnano-av, have you scrolled down after searching for their names and going to their page?
You may have to scroll about a page or so before getting to their film listing. Their film listings are also different from sougouwiki.
Sometimes they have many films of an actress while sougouwiki doesn't even have page for them. Normal I'll double check both sites if one isn't found on one site.
I find that minnano-av actually has more entries for some of the newer and lesser known actresses. I think someone's been slacking off on sougouwiki .

Anyway, I know both of them because I am a fan and collector of both.

Thank you, CC; I can't believe I never scrolled down the Minnano-av pages far enough. Suddenly, the site has become even more useful... and you're saying a lot of the time Minnano-av may be even more complete than Sougouwiki.

Are you aware of a way to search via DVD codes?

The drop down box at the left of their search box provides for AV女優 (AV actress), アダルトビデオ (Adult video) and 無料動画 (Free Video). I attempted searches for DVD codes with the latter two, but was unsuccessful. I tried sticking in the two zeroes in the middle of the codes as well, as required by R18 and some sections of DMM.

I wouldn't say a lot of the time, but for some of the more recent/lesser known actresses minnano-av seem to have more of those than sougouwiki. I would check both sites just in case.
And no I don't know of any way to search for DVD codes, doesn't seem like it's a searchable field. May have to e-mail the site admin. It's really only good for finding the actress names and their filmography. They've also made some weird changes that I don't understand. Sometimes when you search for a name it doesn't appear that all of the result are shown. Minnano-av has never really been ran very well, but I guess you can't expect too much from a free wiki site (with lots of ads).
