I've noticed that some content categories are completely gone from search. The biggest one that stands out to me is BDSM is missing and when I look at purchased films, the vast majority of ones suddenly not for sale were tagged with that category.
Given their recent credit card processor woes and certain credit card companies trying to act as moral regulators, I wouldn't be surprised if it was related.
I would like to see some official confirmation from R18 on the issue and whether or not we can expect these titles (or titles involving that subject matter) to return at some point.

Absolutely brutal. They seem to have disabled all titles that include ****, including such unspeakable monstrosities as D***k for Drink. I guess that's why SDTH-002 is gone while SDTH-001 is still there, despite being in the same series, featuring the same actress and having a similar theme.
I don't think thge credit card companies care about the DMM site because it's in Japanese and the prude American groups that try to fight online porn don't speak that anyway, whereas the R18 site is in English. In the past they'd just replace certain words with *** even when they weren't sexual (like sleeping in the literal sense or the child part of childhood friend) but apparently they've now taken it a step further.
Electromog: Visa/MC rules are for adult content are worldwide. That Japan has gotten an exemption to allow some of the harder content we've seen for years has always been odd to say the least. Whether we're seeing Visa/MC clamp down on this or some type of platform self-censorship to prevent such a thing from happening remains up in the air.
so what's being censored is it the cover pictures or the titles names, because I remember the clamp down on title names couple of years ago. From some examples I've seen looks like its school girl covers and crazy bsdm being taken down.

What's being censored is up to their billers and how R18 will implement it. I'm certain they already made note of 'suspect' movies via keywords and simply clicked a few buttons in their back-end to (temporarily?) mass delist movies that have those keywords and now will look them over before re-activating some.
