I know its late but its because you didn't create a password that met their password requirements. They have no prompt that actually tells you this!

you know the prompt of password needs to be 8 character, have special character, one number, etc.

Thanks for this, it did work, however now we have a new problem: the verification email doesn't show up in my email.

I checked junk folder and I resent multiple times but no luck

I'm sure logging in as a current user is fine, because I see new posts all the time, of course.

The problem is new registration.

I spoke to an Admin and they asked if it is only an email confirmation problem, that they will need the username you used to register with SLF 2.0.

Luckily someone else was having the same issue and posted their fix in ScanLover's help section.

Turns out hotmail doesn't work for confirmation email, you have to use a different host.

Hope this helps someone else.
