many of my favorites are not active now :(
yup. her first project's comeback is for GIGA If I am Not Mistaken. Hopefully, her comebacks is long lasting. Actress comeback usually only active in shorttime period. for me my personal fave makihara mana didn't active in JAV anymore, still update personal life via twitter though.

Which vid (code) is that from?
Caribbeancompr – 041114_818

One thing I noticed with her new movies since her comeback is that she looked better before. I don't know if it's because she lost a bit of weight, but I can't find what I like about her before anymore.

in that matter of time period (1-2 years), hopefully they very active on it. As i know i am affraid the comeback career is very short like azusa maki and sakura kuramochi in the past (only filming a few GIGA's movie). But, i really do like the comeback actress acting, such a more mature experienced.

yup, thanks the power social media nowadays. But some of the retired one decide to completely delete her socmed's log due to reset their true social life, the following's one example is anri suzuki (again my fave), she delete the twitter account in this middle year.

yes we must hope will be very active or at least much more active than they used to be before retire, some of them only comeback for urgent cash, do couple of vids and dissapear again, even some only perform for non sex act (example Risa Murakami)

if they delete their social media might be they want to dissapear totally, don't want to comeback, so like I posted before, if they still active updating there is a big chance they might comeback

For emergency cash, i think agree with you. As i remembered that azusa kirihara who is re tired in 2 years ago going back but perform only fetish & model. Really hard competition especially when the young actress become grow up and dominance the market. Yeah, when AV actress close her socmed, most of them wanted to be ordinary woman out there. the problem is when the actress doesnt have social media...... like the solo or small-scale actress (kasumi takeuchi, one of my fave) who doesnt have agency for example and the older AV actress which dont familiar with socmed. difficult to track her actvities though.

the main problem for veteran AV idols is the market condition in JAV that always demanding for fresh new comers with innocent inexperience looks

I think for the young generation, 99% of them have social media, but if they want to keep it private, so yes its difficult to track them

I always don't like seeing this, besides the Yua Mikami and Shokos of the world, new girls haven't came in and took over the industry, it's the vets who have been around who are at the top of rankings, and winning the awards

I've been thinking about actresses that I'd like to see make a comeback but then I thought about all the years that passed since their retirement and I can't help but wonder how they're holding up. I'm not exactly into mature women except for a few exceptions and even the younger ones could have lost their luster… Perhaps if they came back I wouldn't even find them attractive anymore either because they let themselves go to a degree or just due to natural aging.

I prefer veterans, because they have the experience and confidence that makes them perform well

but like it or not, many others prefer to look new comers :(

there is the reason why many peoples prefer to see new comers

Rions isn't a vet, same for Airi Suzumura, Ito Chinami, Sora Shina, Shunka Ayami, Hashimoto Arina are popular. Chinami, Arina and Sora won a prize in the DMM awards I think.

6 years in the JAV industry pretty much equals an ice age. If that's not a veteran in your eyes...

She had months of hiatus, at least 2 times over her 6 years. To me, Julia, Yui Hatano, Ai Sayama, Hitomi, Hibiki Ootsuki, Tsubomi are vets. Rion is a big name and has beeing around for couple of years for sure, but the vet status isn't really appropriate. It's because too much girls do 4-5 movies or end their contract and disappear after less than a year. When you take them out of the equation and compare REAL porn actresses between them, you end up with the names I quoted.

Tsubomi is not a veteran. She's an anomaly.

Being an A-lister for 14 years probably puts you in a 0.1 percentile as far as JAV goes.
I'm sorry, but you're comparing apples and lampposts here.

Yuma Asami's career lasted "just" 8 years. She wasn't a veteran either?

Check US porn, many actresses are in the business for 10+ years. Like JAV, a lot of girls just do few titles or stop once their first contract is over because they just wanted quick money for stupid things.

8 is closer to 10 than 6. Being in the business for almost a decade is a lot. Tomoda Maki started in 2003 and even if she had some break times, she's still active now. That's what I call a veteran.
Suzumiya Kotone, Mizumi Saki, Sunohara Miki, many girls started before Rion and are still active. Even Okuda Saki or Meguri, in the big boobs category started before her.

Like I said, when you compare with real porn actresses, 6 years is good but not to the point of being called a veteran.
