Immersive 3D Content and Enthusiasts (oh boy...)

I wonder if I should upgrade from PSVR right now or try to transcode my videos. It seems streams more than 20MiB/s aren't very fluent with LittlStar.
I did create some PHP script on my NAS that can replace LittlStream app (and creates proper unwarped thumbnails) so it can serve files directly.
My LittlStar annual payment didn't succeed (different CC number) but after canceling it said it was valid until 2012! Nice!

I've noticed that different series can have quite different cameras even though the basic values such as 4K 60 FPS are the same. My favorite, JUVR as of late has got very lifelike 3D video and you feel like you're there. Where as VRVR somehow has fairly fuzzy video with a weak 3D effect. Has anyone else noticed this? What are the best current series that come to mind? Some series have changed their cameras midway so it has changed for many over time. This stuff is also pointless to compare with 2D photos as you can't really see it in them.

Yes, VRVR, TPVR, CACA, CAFR, most of them have bad quality and colors. Others like 3DSVR, AJVR, GOPJ, WAVR, MAXVR you see the girls too big.

The best are filmed at 4K with fisheye: BIKMVR, KVR... The definition is very good and the girls have real size.

Wow, you're right. I tried out KMVR-831 in both normal and fisheye lens styles. The fisheye does correct that weird limb elongation that sometimes happens. However I did notice that sometimes the depth movement wasn't as good with the fisheye. When she moved in for a kiss it seemed somehow a bit sharper with the regular lens.

Silly question to some, but, I find this interesting. While looking on both Filejoker (and the other host I use) I find that there are a lot more downloads of the non-4K titles than the 4K titles. And I'm talking by a large margin! I'd like for everyone to be able to enjoy these, is the larger size of the 4K 60fps versions too much for users out there? Is it the ones that used to get posted better for a lot of you?

A lot of people are apparently using their phones to watch these videos. But if one is actually using a dedicated VR set then 2K or even 4K 30fps video are unbearable. Maybe just "bet on the future" and expect that phones will get better over time too. If you like work do both. :p
 
Did FJ suddenly switched all these >1GB files to premium only? Can no longer download any of these stuff. :(

For anything I've posted, looking on FJ, none have the Premium option checked, which I NEVER do. I recall years ago they suddenly were checked on some of mine and I didn't do it, so I uncheck them all. They all say that now?

I use PC VR glasses and always download the best quality I can find. Even 5K or 6K if they exist. In fact I don't download VR videos less than 4K.

Even if you have a 2K glasses, you'll see much better definition with a 4K video.

But people are still downloading 360p videos and watching DVDs, so they do the same with VR I suppose. Or They don't want to pay for a premium account, or their internet is slow.

For me VR porn is about reality. To feel the girls are there with you. You don't feel it with a blurry video or a 30 fps video... So I only download 4K or more.

Is Filejoker still locked to 50 GB every 5 days? It is the reason I stopped paying for it...

Yes, fisheye is still not perfect but in my experience is the best if you want correct size of the girls and very good definition in 4K.
 
Here is my silly take. And this started early on for me, maybe because back when JAV VR first started there were no 4K titles available. I actually liked the original non-4K content. Why? Well, glad you asked!

See, I fell in love with JAV when not much HD content was even being shared. Later when it was, it was still just 29.97fps for the most part. Then I started delving into the 60fps conversions, I tried to champion that around here for a while. That was because I liked watching Western content that way. But, later I realized it was getting me out of the JAV experience I remembered. I thought all JAV was filmed in film style until I bought an actual DVD on some site. I was surprised that the interlaced DVD video was shown at 60fps or at least had the soap opera effect. I didn't like it. It took the cinematic effect I was accustomed to (so to speak) out of my viewing experience. CUT to later with VR, watching it in 30fps made me feel like I was in a JAV, because they are 30fps, get it? I was experiencing myself interacting with a 30fps JAV actress in a 30fps setting in a 30fps environment. Hard to explain, perhaps. So, now that I'm grabbing 60fps content...I'm back to wondering if I should go back to the other format for me to enjoy it more.

But you are mixing things that are different... fps are different on film and VR...
In VR you have 2 different images, one per eye to generate the 3D effect, and you need more fps to be confortable. For this reason most of the (good) VR glasses run at 90, even 120 Hz to be confortable. Oculus Quest use 72 Hz and Rift S 80 Hz, bu it is because Oculus is lame... If you see a 3D film with 30 fps (3o Hz) on a 90Hz screen, the image flickers a lot, it is unconfortable. For this reason 60 fps is much better in VR. It is not only about smooth movement but also because is more confortable in all PC VR glasses.

With all due respect, that is your experience with your gear. The only Oculus I use is a "powered by" when I'm using Gear VR with my Galaxy S8. I don't every want to be tied to a PC by wires while experiencing this. I've taken my Gear VR on business trips (ahem) and different parts of the house out of necessity (ahem ahem). You just can't do that with a PC version, unless you have one major laptop I would imagine. You seem to know all the specs. But it is the experience that I'm interested in.

And yes, I'm aware of what you're talking about and you almost get what I'm saying regarding fps for film and VR. That's actually exactly my point. Virutally (no pun intended) my whole time loving JAV I watched it the way every other person did (and does!), in 30fps (29.970). So, when I'm in VR experiencing something in 30fps it makes me feel like I'm in a 30fps JAV. I know 60fps is more realistic, and, yes, that can be incredibly nice! But it gets me into a bit of reality which VR is supposed to do, absolutely. But, also for me, which is why I said it was silly, I like feeling like I'm in JAV title with the lady. And if I'm used to seeing JAV in 30fps, it makes sense for me to live out that fantasy by feeling like I'm in that same word.

Don't get me wrong, I love 60fps 4K experiences as much as the next person, you really can feel like you're there with someone. I like that more for the Gravure content.

Of course, it depends of the gear. But you are asking for reasons and I am giving you my reasons... In fact you are answering your own question... More people download a 2K or a 30 fps film because they are using a smartphone with VR. Most of their screens run at 2K, 1080p (or less) and 60 Hz, and with this gear they prefer to download a 2K version. And 30 fps (Hz) on a 60 Hz screen is acceptable.

But with PC VR glasses, with 80, 90, 120 Hz screens, a 30 Hz 3D film is unconfortable, because with 3D the eyes need to focus the two images, it is more demanding than a flat film. So a 60 fps film is much better for our eyes. Most PC VR users will choose a 60 fps if they can affort it (they have a premium account with GBs to download, and fast Internet). As I said, I only download 4K VR JAVs now.

Of course there are a lot of more people with VR via smartphone, but al least 1 o 2 millions of PC VR glasses, this is the reason companies are launching 4K 60 fps. Even 5K and 6K (western companies).

Thanks for the discussion, friend! I get what you mean. Since I don't have that higher end gear I have no reason to doubt you since you do, especially about that uncomfortable thing you mention. Way back in my earlier posts on the subject I said more than once I hoped I never got to experience JAV VR on a higher end setup because I know, like you, I'd never want to go back. So, I stay on the gear I have.
