How to organize your JAV collection?

The same as me. But how did you separate video into short clip?
 
I just create folders for each actress and rename videos to a standard title (i.e. ABC-123). If I ever need to search for something but I only remember the code but not the actress then I do a "*code" search on My computer. If the video features multiple actresses then I cut the 1 scene I want and save it to save drive space.

I have 5k plus titles at around 8-10TB as of right now. I am trying to upgrade and create a manual database as to what I have, as well as the file size, location, and Quality of JAV.

I've been using Plex for a month now with an Intel Nuc as the Server (works like a charm on my tv, Laptop and PC) . Thanks for the metadata agent, was looking for that.
 
I have a Powershell Script for replacing specific codes I wish to replace, had some problems with different Video-Codes. Feel free to use or adjust.

Save as .ps1 file in Folder which you would like to be scanned (including sub folders) and Rightclick-> run with powershell

This one looks for all Files and Folders with the codes MUM- and NHDTA- and replaces them with mum00 and nhdta00. You can add more codes with just adding more .replace("code-","code00")

How easy-to-setup and secure would this plex thing be? It looks really nice but I have a system of folders right now that's pretty organized.
 
not sure if anybody here knows any software that can detect scenes from the movie file and label it accordingly.
Because I have a large number of files that are not labelled as the JAV title, nor the title is hidden together with thz.la.
 
Does anybody know if jpmag.net is permanently down? I really love this scrapper for Plex and I'd hate to see it die so soon :(

I found that it was sufficient. I find that if you have so much porn that you can't figure out anyway to sort it properly then maybe you have too much porn. Look at some things and think about if you are ever even going to use it to get off over, if you think you probably won't then just delete it I would say. Just keep the really good stuff.

I did this with my collection to consolodate it, I made a folder called best and went through all of my porn and only put the very best things in it to keep. I once had like literally 3TB of porn. But today it's down to 400gb and I will never make it larger than that.

think this applies the same for physical things. keep the things that spark joy to you.
 
The biggest problem IMO, is that every once in awhile, you will have 2 or more different JAVs from totally different studios that have the same ID. I sort by ID, so figuring out a work around has not yet happened. I might just have to sort by year now...

That happened to me just a few months back dealing with VR titles. VR titles! You'd think they haven't been around long enough for that to happen! My solution? I deleted the one that had little replay value.
