Has anyone got SSNI-178, either legit or pirate? Just done checking out SSNI-174, not Miko Matsuda's best work. She (and studio) needs to be careful putting out a quality product every month. Most other top idols can afford to phone it in, not Miko. With Shunka Ayami joining S1, will there be more pressure on Miko? Her assets are weak compared to the S1 line-up. It would be better for everyone if she exits as S1 contract girl and either join some lower-prestige-but-more-interesting studios, or just boldly go freelance. But the risk is any kind of disturbance will topple the house of cards that is her J-pop cred. Suddenly her fans (do I count as a fan?) may decide her idol halo is gone then she won't just fell from idol to average. There's a serious risk she won't even survive as a low profile freelance planning performer.

There's no reason why her K-pop debut could hurt her AV (or ...) but fact is she's not done a great vid since that event. Especially puzzling is -254 no longer play up her idol cred. The plot/theme has nothing to do with idols, (actually the scenes are set in an abandoned factory was a turn off), the cover and the title (text) doesn't mention "idol" or "national idol" any more. That's a huge mistake, Yua Mikami is a good AV performer. But only good, not great. There are girls who are more pretty, with better figure, younger and better at fucking than her. Yua can stand out from the field only for her idol cred and continue to play the part. I mean not just on some one-off events in Korea, she needs to exploit her idol persona on AV at least once in a couple months.

But playno1 actually turn down the offer. He stated the reason that their company lacks the resource and experience to produce a decent concert. But that reason seems far too diplomatic to me. It may be true that a real pop concert isn't the company's core business. But you can also ask why Yua (and HP's agent) doesn't get a real Taiwan music outfit to do the job. The unspoken answer is that no real music outfit would take HP seriously. So a real music outfit won't take HP as a real music act. And a AV-media company wouldn't treat HP as a viable AV-related event. It's just my speculation, but it's a hint at HP's root problem, it's neither here (music) nor there (adult entertainment).
