The problem with porn (for me) is one of
the camera vs. the realness of the scene. As the reality factor goes up, the man and woman's awareness of the camera being there goes down. As their awareness of the camera being there goes down, either (a) it means that it's far away and never moving and that sucks, and/or (b) it means that some creepy voyeur had cameras installed in the walls of the room or something and he recorded strangers having sex (what the hell!? >_>). I don't like how fake porn feels, but I also wouldn't want to watch porn where I thought one or both parties were unaware that they were being videotaped.
If I had to pick one, I guess I'd say "the best amateur porn videos are better than the best professional porn videos, but in general there are way more professional porn videos that are 4.0/5.0 or better than there are amateur porn videos, so I tend to look for professional stuff and not waste my time looking for amateur stuff."
The other thing is, it's dangerous to blindly download amateur porn (especially if you're an adult male) because sometimes you don't know if the girl claims to be a young adult but she's really a minor, and then that means you're guilty of downloading (and possibly even uploading) CP. Whereas porn stars, no matter how old or how young they look, are almost
never younger than 18 years old. There are very few -- and very controversial -- exceptions, so generally professional porn is a safer bet.
