I guess that is the reason why ckskevin created this thread: Because he doesn't understand Japanese and is looking for someone who is able to write subtitles.
It's a pity that there is not a subtitle culture like you have for Anime, Hentai and Japanese TV series / dramas.
Because dialogue is hardly the most important part of most jav films. The ones that are plot heavy are usually those toku porn films.

I think it would be nice for every JAV movie to have subtitles. Some titles don't have much dialogues during the movie, but maybe an introduction of the actress at the beginning of the movie. Maybe that would also be interesting for some people (I don't watch these movies).
I've written subtitles for JAV before, except I'd translated from the Chinese subs to English. I'm guessing after a double translation it was anything but spot on, though I doubt the "plot" of the movie was obscured.
It is strange though because you can find English subs for some pretty obscure tv serials in their entirety, yet for all its popularity there are so few JAV subs.
