Hello all, not sure if this is better suited for 18+ Discussion, so apologies if so, but I came to share some tragic news. GRAPHIS, the lauded gravure site, is officially shutting down at the end of next February.

I've only lurked on these forums before to search for content, so nobody here is familiar with me, but I'm an autist that made the most comprehensive and organized GRAPHIS collection on the planet, which previously had a /t/ thread on 4chan (which has since expired; I've yet to make a new thread until my v5 is ready. The torrents are still available on Nyaa, however). I've been continually plugging away at holes in the collection and keeping it updated with what's available on the site, and intended to do so until the site itself shut down, but I've run into two problems:

After the credit card censorship fiasco like two years ago GRAPHIS stopped supporting western cards; my subscription has been able to go through since then, thankfully, but only because it was a renewal (which I mentioned at the time in my /t/ thread) and not a new payment. This means that I can't purchase any of the PPV content, including the Blu-Rays (of which we're missing most, and all of them if your requirement is the original files) and the missing Calendars, etc. The other problem is that my card company changed my card # right before my last renewal. Thankfully that renewal DID go through, but that means I only have until Oct. (and then Nov. if I extend using service points) before I lose my membership and access to the remaining content (Nov. -> Feb.).

So if we want to purchase the PPV content, or even just have any of the other content saved, we'll need someone with a JCB card willing to purchase stuff (or willing to accept money in order to purchase stuff). I've asked in the gravure thread on /t/ (since my thread's currently dead until I make and release v5) as well as the /grav/ thread on /jp/, but is there anybody here who may be able to assist? /r/ on 4chan is dead, so I can't ask there. I figure there have to be a few superfans of the various models that have content at risk that would be willing to pay for them, right? As it stands, we're going to lose out on all content released between the beginning of November to the end of February (barring whatever gets released on the gravure/idol hosting websites, which is never everything) and all the PPV content. This feels to me like a relatively urgent thing compared to purchasing other gravure merchandise, so I wanted to bring it to everybody's attention before it was too late to organize any sort of purchasing push.

Anyway, thank you for your time. I'll be paying attention to all three threads whenever I'm at my computer, so feel free to contact me through any of them.

This sucks. I'm American so I'm sorry I can't help. Graphis photos of Nana Ogura were my introduction to gravure.

Sad to see them go
they have a long history, some great photos and possibly one of the best photographers

out of interest do you have a full list of what they produced?

I'm somewhat amused to see three posts all on the same day. I'd actually been meaning to make a followup post to point out that I've had three separate private messages from people seeing this post and choosing to try and help by discussing it privately. While I appreciate people reaching out, I think it's far more beneficial for such talks to be in the open rather than private, since it allows cross-collaboration and avoids unneeded repeating.

One of them even commented on how dead the site was, and while I don't have a particular opinion since I don't use the forums as an active member, I thought it amusing that someone would note a lack of activity on the forums after choosing to forsake posting on the forums and instead private messaging! I had a good laugh, thank you friend (no malice meant).

One of the people that privately messaged me did share the message on JAV Forum, which has similarly not picked up much traction. I may make an account over there to clarify his post and get a discussion going over there too.

My archive is as near a full list as can be found online, and it's certainly the most cohesively organized. This is a list of everything I have as of about a month ago (password is GraphisGuy), but that isn't necessarily all of their content. There are several older categories from the site that simply don't exist in any extant form anymore, such as CMM and U-15 Beautiful Girls Club (presumably a sort of completely SFW, non-lewd line leading into the minisuka-esque Active High School Girl category). There's about four or five categories that have zero images remaining beyond what's in WebArchive (which is claiming it's offline right now, so I can't doublecheck numbers or give actual descriptions for any of them), so it's safe to say all of them are lost media. As a final bit for the end of the site/archive's finish, I'm going to do a short write-up in the readme that explains them as best I can glean (a sort of obituary, I guess). There's also their PPV section, which is a bit of a scam and thus I've admittedly intentionally neglected to try to archive (I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway, but even beyond that I've not bothered to get covers or descriptions from them). They're mostly just 'expanded' upsell sets of already-archived galleries in either 4K or 5K, so they function more as upgrades rather than new content in their own right (from what I can tell).

Beyond that there's some gaps in my content (which is denoted by (inc) inside that link earlier). The people that have been privately messaging me may be able to fill in some of those gaps. The v4 currently available on Nyaa is already very outdated, but by this point it's better for me to just wait until the site is dead and I've gathered all I can to make a v5, rather than make a v5 now and then a v6 5 months afterwards. Still, If you want to get started on their content the v4 is a good starting point (it'll just need some tweaking for fixes I've made whenever the v5 releases).

Awesome Thank You Kind Sir
I learnt that it is easier in most cases to do public messages rather than private rather than the constant repeating
I can understand why you do not want to start now, knowing what is to come

currently busy right now, but I will look around the site and try to link some of the major lists here, in the past a few people have tried but failed, I have devoted a lot of energy on other peoples promises
