Around a decade ago, I used to rent DVDs to make my own rips, and when the titles I wanted weren't available for rental, I would buy and resell them on the secondhand market. In short, I wanted to enjoy my favorite titles in near-DVD quality, but I didn't want to deal with a physical porn collection, let alone spend a small fortune on one. At the time, I used legacy Handbrake settings I thought were an ideal compromise between video quality and file size, but my laptop's screen was hardly high resolution, and I'm pretty sure my external hard drive was no larger than 512 GB. Even when I got around to buying a Full HD TV, I still thought DVDs looked pretty okay on it.

Fast forward to last spring, and I finally bought my first 4K monitor and realized just how horrid DVDs can look on an Ultra HD screen. I had seen AI resolution upscaling and frame interpolation do some pretty impressive things, so I purchased Topaz Video AI in the hopes of breathing new life into my aging digital media collection. Here's a peek at what I've been up to.

Although I used Handbrake's default deinterlacing settings for any DVDs that I ripped, AI resolution upscaling can really hang a lantern on any lingering combing artifacts that you otherwise never would have noticed. So, the first step I take is to throw TVAI's "interlaced progressive" models at the compressed DVD rip. (Assuming I don't need to edit things in Final Cut Pro first, that is, such as combining multiple discs into one video.) I leverage every appropriate model that makes an appreciable, non-redundant improvement, then blend the output evenly in FCP to balance the strengths and weaknesses of each model. This typically means creating a three-way blend of the Dione Robust, Iris (Medium Quality), and Proteus models. Since Proteus has become available as an "interlaced progressive" model, blending at this stage probably isn't so necessary anymore, but when working from such low quality sources, I'll take even a 1% improvement.

I should mention that when using FCP for the first time, I take the opportunity to raise or lower the volume as needed in 1-db increments (for simplicity's sake) so the audio is about as loud as it can be without distorting. You might imagine this typically means having to raise the volume, but more often than not, I end up having to lower it. I used to let FCP auto-correct issues it detected in the audio by boosting loudness, filtering noise, etc., but I eventually realized this caused more harm than good, especially to music and any non-speech sounds. It's a shame I can't do more to doctor audio, as the quality in porn tends to be quite poor.

Also, I haven't been able to find a way to automate color correction that produces consistently good results, so I don't typically muck around with the color. But I've been experimenting with what I can accomplish in Pixelmator Pro on this video and I think I've found a preset I don't totally hate. I tend to prefer warmer, more saturated colors, and when watching the color corrected video side-by-side with the original, I can't deny that I prefer the color corrected one, especially on my OLED. If this step becomes a permanent fixture of my workflow, I'll have to perform it after blending the deinterlaced models in FCP when files sizes are still relatively small, as PP struggles with large videos. At any rate, just prepping videos takes the better part of a day on my rig.

Once I have a cleaned up video in the original resolution, I go back into TVAI and perform a 2x upscale on it, usually using the Artemis (Medium Quality), Iris (Medium Quality), and Proteus models. Artemis produces the sharpest resolution upscale, but also leaves the strongest "AI upscale" impression. Iris, meanwhile, produces a softer resolution upscale, but also produces the finest detail in hair and maybe skin. Proteus tends to be a good balance between the two, so it provides a good base to improve on when blending these models in FCP. This step, too, takes at least a whole day.

Unfortunately, it's pointless trying to go beyond a 2x resolution upscale, at least when starting with a compressed DVD rip. Believe me, I've tried, but no amount of pixel peeping could reveal any discernible difference between a 2x and a 4x upscale. Also, resolution upscaling seems to blur rather than sharpen censorship mosaics, but blending can help alleviate this.

Once I have the best 2x resolution upscale I can produce by blending different models in FCP, I go back into TVAI once again to double the frame rate. Chronos has been my go-to frame interpolation model, but I've had so much trouble with it over the months, I think it's time to switch to Apollo from now on. As finicky as these frame interpolation models can prove, I personally find high frame rates more impressive than high resolutions, so this is where the real magic happens for me. Still, this can take a day or two, potentially more depending on the video's length.

I'm something of a realist when it comes to these things, so my personal goal is to bump the quality one rung up the ladder. In other words, make VHS look like DVD, DVD look like HD, HD look like Full HD, and so on, albeit it with a buttery smooth frame rate. After all, an AI remaster of a DVD can really only pass for native HD at a glance in close and maybe medium shots, and even that's assuming a decent source was used. Wide shots are pretty well a lost cause, as there's just not enough detail in the original image for these models to work with. So, as a last step, I create a 720p 59.94 fps mp4 in Handbrake using HEVC (H.265) compression, just as I would if I were ripping a Blu-ray disc. This also affords me the chance to crop any junk from the overscan area as needed in 8-pixel increments (again, for simplicity's sake) without worrying about the target resolution.

Still, I'm beginning to realize that if I'm going to go through all of this effort, spend all of this money on software, and cause this much wear and tear to my setup, I may as well do it right. And that of course would mean using the highest quality video available from the start by going back to the physical DVD discs...which is where you might come in. If you live outside Japan, getting your hands on DVDs to create uncompressed ISO images may not be nearly as difficult or as expensive as you might imagine. And who knows? Maybe even 1080p will become attainable.

So, I'm posting to gauge interest in forming a group to preserve and restore these DVDs while maximizing mutual benefit and minimizing individual cost. Preservation means saving what few physical DVD discs remain from incinerators, landfills, and disc rot. Restoration means everything I went over above. I'd like to concentrate our efforts on the stone-cold classics from the naughts before attempting more vintage or more modern titles, as that's where the greatest good can be done. If you're at all interested, send me a DM for details. I'll check my messages at least once a week over the next four weeks or so before peacing out. But if there's enough interest in pooling our collective resources to justify the effort that would entail, I'll make the necessary arrangements. Otherwise, I'm happy to keep what little I can accomplish on my own to myself.

Just bear in mind this would not mean free porn, as contribution would be the price of admission. And besides, this stuff is already pirated and available in the wild, including right here. Nor, for that matter, will I be soliciting monetary donations or selling a service. Rather, think of it as loaning a long out-of-print book to a private library, and by doing so, gaining access to all the other long out-of-print books that everybody else has at one point loaned. Don't think about this analogy too hard. It's a magical occult library that doesn't require books to be donated or returned after being checked out. Moreover, that library takes that long out-of-print book and lovingly digitizes it into a high quality e-book orders of magnitude superior to all those old, crappily scanned PDFs widely circulating elsewhere. And if watching that library slowly but surely grow while breathing new life into all of our old favorites inspires you to track down even more long out-of-print books to loan and in turn enjoy on your favorite modern devices, then you're starting to get the right picture.

Whilst I respect your enthusiam for the improving the gokkun classics, I think the original still looks better. The skin tones is too orange in the new one.
Previous users have tried upscaling its doesnt improve the quality, but hey I get it, its fun to play and experiment.
We can only hope the studio release these older titles is true HD from the original source. HD has been around for awhile now it could still be done on a lot of older titles. The HD web version have low bitrates, its disappointing they never released titles on blu-ray for the true HD experience.

I agree. I'm still experimenting with color correction presets in PP. I liked how the blacks were silky and the whites were pearly and the warm colors were saturated in that preset, but it drew out the yellows in Japanese skin too much. The tone color of this preset might be a bit on the cool side overall, but it has silky blacks, pearly whites, and more natural skin tones. I'm going to need to dial in custom settings after testing them on several videos, though.

I also agree that there's only so much AI resolution upscaling can realistically do. But if you want to see what can be accomplished with a high quality DVD source, you should Google the "Deep Space Nine Upscale Project." Also, if you prefer the original video, you're not watching it in motion side by side with the upscaled video on a 4K OLED. And even if you're not interested in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to automate the restoration process (I wasn't, either, until I finally upgraded my monitors), feel welcome to join the group just to trade uncompressed DVD ISOs. I'm going to need at least 4-6 people willing to put DVDs where their mouths are to follow through with this.

Fair enough, i havent looked too deeply into AI other that play around with Midjourney. I hope it works out, im not really that into porn that much anymore just check in every now and then see if theyre are any updates on gokkun genre but it seems the golden age is over. Hi all, this is an exceptional thread for Gokkun lovers. Thank you for the fantastic contributions. I have a few newbie questions.

1) Is there a way to search for Gokkun films where the actress swallows each load immediately before the next one? What is this style called? An example of this is from DJE-027 (Megumi Shino). It all comes down to personal preference, I prefer this style over collecting and swallowing in one go.

2) Are there actresses that tend to perform the instant swallows more so than others? Megumi Shino does it a lot but I am looking for other performers.

3) Are there any gokkun series where this instant swallow is a theme?

4) Is there a list of JAV actresses that love to consistently swallow, even if the movie is not a Gokkun theme? E.g. Tsubomi, Nana Ogura, Rena Aoi, Ena Satsuki Mikako Abe etc. I was trying to search for a list of all the titles (non-Gokkun) where Tsubomi swallows, after seeing the list that MakiFan put together, but haven't been able to find anything.

I want to detail my steps to try to identify her because my methodology may be useful to other Western fans who do not speak or read Japanese.
My first step is to find some Japanese text, usually at the beginning somewhere but sometimes not until the end. In any case I will screenshot several opening screens that contain text. I then go to an online OCR site to have the image of the Japanese characters changed into text characters. I use i2OCR.com but there are many other OCR sites which will translate for free. Now that I have a text-based version of the Japanese, or Chinese or whatever. characters I copy those and take them over to Google Translate. Paste the characters and Google will recognize the language automatically. Select your Output language and ta-ta, you know know what the characters say..... Mostly. It works most of the time but sometims not so much. It may have to do with the clarity of the image text. In any case, for example, the video I've uploaded has just a few Japanese characters that seem to correspont with her name. So, I followed my process and the following is what I got:

The verbal version of these characters-Zé zhōu gān cù
And the English translation-Responsible week, liver irritation
So, clearly that translation is not correct. I may be wrong here but the original image the First Two Japanese Characters and the Second Two wer seperated but the OCR seems to have joined them. That may be the problem but ultimately the translation is wrong. I want to repeat though most of the time this method works very well for me and I don't have to bother you kind folks for help.
My next attempt was to make a vid-cap of the initial interview where she is talking and seems to be introducing herself. To translate this I made a vid-cap, using vidproc converter, of only the non-sex portion of the video because I wanted to upload it to Youtube and see if their system could translate it. WARNING: If you're going to use this method be sure to post non-porn video or Youtube will ban your account permanently. I learned this the hard way. So, back to the point. I uploaded the clip of her talking. Sure enough she itendified herself as Miho Yuzuki. Jackpot! Except I cannot find a thing relating to her in any JAV video with exhustive Web searches, including an extensive name search on https://www.javlibrary.com (a very useful resource btw. Look under the directory link to do name searches) and I did a lot of searching for names which were slightly similar, no luck!. As I said in the original part of the post I am fairly certain that I have the original but to find it is a nightmare. So, dear friends, If anyone can please identify this girl or the code for this video, that would be super-fantastico. Thanks in advance.. My first step is to find some Japanese text, usually at the beginning somewhere but sometimes not until the end. In any case I will screenshot several opening screens that contain text. I then go to an online OCR site to have the image of the Japanese characters changed into text characters. I use i2OCR.com but there are many other OCR sites which will translate for free. Now that I have a text-based version of the Japanese, or Chinese or whatever. characters I copy those and take them over to Google Translate. Paste the characters and Google will recognize the language automatically. Select your Output language and ta-ta, you know know what the characters say..... Mostly. It works most of the time but sometims not so much. It may have to do with the clarity of the image text. In any case, for example, the video I've uploaded has just a few Japanese characters that seem to correspont with her name. So, I followed my process and the following is what I got:
Original Characters as translated by OCR-責周 肝促
The verbal version of these characters-Zé zhōu gān cù
And the English translation-Responsible week, liver irritation
So, clearly that translation is not correct. I may be wrong here but the original image the First Two Japanese Characters and the Second Two wer seperated but the OCR seems to have joined them. That may be the problem but ultimately the translation is wrong. I want to repeat though most of the time this method works very well for me and I don't have to bother you kind folks for help.
My next attempt was to make a vid-cap of the initial interview where she is talking and seems to be introducing herself. To translate this I made a vid-cap, using vidproc converter, of only the non-sex portion of the video because I wanted to upload it to Youtube and see if their system could translate it. WARNING: If you're going to use this method be sure to post non-porn video or Youtube will ban your account permanently. I learned this the hard way. So, back to the point. I uploaded the clip of her talking. Sure enough she itendified herself as Miho Yuzuki. Jackpot! Except I cannot find a thing relating to her in any JAV video with exhustive Web searches, including an extensive name search on https://www.javlibrary.com (a very useful resource btw. Look under the directory link to do name searches) and I did a lot of searching for names which were slightly similar, no luck!. As I said in the original part of the post I am fairly certain that I have the original but to find it is a nightmare. So, dear friends, If anyone can please identify this girl or the code for this video, that would be super-fantastico. Thanks in advance.. Oh, one last thing, if any of you super-users know of a better identification meathod I would be very happy to hear it. Thanks in advance

My plan is to restructure my directories, sorted either by series name or Production Company depending on what I can ascertain. As an example a MIRD file willl be in the MOODYZ directory but a T-28 file will be in T-28 folder. I also have some folders of particular idols that I like so I have a folder dedicated to Abe Mikako with a mish-mash of as much of her stuff that I could find. In any case I am working to structure my directories in a more coherant way and then try that software-cover option. Following that I will be doing a mass upload to filejoker My thoughts are, and I'm mentioning this so that the mods here can say yea or nay but I tentatively plan to make a Snap2html file of everything that I have and upload to cloud and drop the link in here. That way anyone that wants to browse what I have can do so. I know that much of what I have is available somewhere online but there's also much that has been relegated to back-up or file-not-found and my hope is that I can provide some more obsure files for collectors. I'm using a I7-8850H 12Core with 32G Ram and 16 G video memory. and the upscaling process is rediculously slow so unless the technology gets faster I will not be upscaling my videos. There's also the issue of space. Currently I have a full 18TB drive with only JAV and another 16TB drive that is about half full with only JAV so to upscale my vids would demand an enormous amout of space for vids that I rarely, if ever, even open. I've viewed probably about 100 or so of 30 THousand plus so I have a hard time meriting the extra space to upscale.
So, in summary, in the next few Weeks I will post a link to my Snap2html file (a html file that allows you to browse and search all of my files as if they were on your local machine) Unless of course the mods advise me not to. Following that I will take requests of what to upload to FileJoker.

Hi all, this is an exceptional thread for Gokkun lovers. Thank you for the fantastic contributions. I have a few newbie questions.

1) Is there a way to search for Gokkun films where the actress swallows each load immediately before the next one? What is this style called? An example of this is from DJE-027 (Megumi Shino). It all comes down to personal preference, I prefer this style over collecting and swallowing in one go.

2) Are there actresses that tend to perform the instant swallows more so than others? Megumi Shino does it a lot but I am looking for other performers.

3) Are there any gokkun series where this instant swallow is a theme?

4) Is there a list of JAV actresses that love to consistently swallow, even if the movie is not a Gokkun theme? E.g. Tsubomi, Nana Ogura, Rena Aoi, Ena Satsuki Mikako Abe etc. I was trying to search for a list of all the titles (non-Gokkun) where Tsubomi swallows, after seeing the list that MakiFan put together, but haven't been able to find anything.

5) Are there many series based on Gloryholes, such as the SENZ series (like SDDE-565) or DEEP'S (DVDMS-685) where the loads are swallowed? While there are some performers in these that swallow, majority end up spitting out.

Hi East. I'll try to help you here with some suggestions. I , like you, seem have a similar affinity for the type of gokkun where the girl swallows each load or perhaps a max of 2 or 3. These swallows that involve mixing together 20, 30, or more loads, even if it is fake, makes me pretty nauseaus. now as for a genre that woluld satisfy what we are after, I don't know of one. I have so many videos that are just one girl swallowing one load but I don't consider that gokkun or bukkake. I also have tons of videos where the girls seem to be amateurs and sometimes spit sometimes swallow, these are usually compilation-type vids. So all in all if you ever discover that there is actually a category for JAV where the girls swallow multiple, individual loads, then please let me know. Now on the Gloryhole front I have several gloryhole themed videos but as you said, mostly they suck a dick through a wall, or a desk, or whatever, and cum-dodge the moneyshot. There are some great Gloryhole, non JAV series` available, Gloryholeswallow, Gloryholesecrets, Putalocura's gloryhole vids are good too,It's difficult to find these complete on Tube sites and you will usually just get clips, Torrents is the way to go for these. but for JAV, at least to my knowledge you will be hard-pressed to find JAV's that satisfy that requirement of gloryhole and swallow.
Actresses that perform instant swallows, You mentioned Abe Mikako and a few otheres but did not mention Kanna Misaki she is a prolific swallower and always has a beautify smile after swallowing. I'm nuts about her. Try KV-212 for example. Another vintage idol that I love for swallowing is Azusa Ayano/Nozomi ICHINOHE. You can count on her to swallow a bunch of individual loads. Another Vintage actress I would recommend is Nanami Nanase. She is absolutely beautiful and although she did some pretty nasty stuff, she still does some great swallowing scenes. Speaking of KV, any of the KS-Knightsvisual vids should keep you happy, also the ASW (Asfur) titles are all good. The TDSU- series is usually good. The following are some older series` but are usually very good, anything with the code SCC OR SCD, ( I think that a regular poster here GokkunPunch did a English Translation of the scene in SCC 10 with Yuri Koizumi swallowing a ton of individual loads in a classrom. The SCC/SCD only the "Semen Club" (there is another series` called scd but that is focused on older ladies and is not gokkun) videos should keep you happy..
