Folder name keeping file from playing correct

This is very strange, can someone please explain why this happens.
This is crazy.

I had a ISO file in a folder named:
[DVDISO][PCOT-004]なないろエンジェル 田中菜々(rar+3-rr4.22G)

The video plays, but it skips past the intro screen and if you move the slider time bar, it jumps back to the beginning.
However, if I rename the folder that the ISO is in to something like ...PCOT-004 removing all Kanji, then the video plays fine and the into screen works.

If I reName the folder back to [DVDISO][PCOT-004]なないろエンジェル 田中菜々(rar+3-rr4.22G), it's goes back to the broken behavior it had.

What causes this to happen? :puzzled:
