Good news and bad news about btdig. The operators haven't really been active for a long time, and the domain has lapsed. I doubt it will come back and anything it redirects you to is probably a scam/spam URL (if you're still trying this in the future and it redirects you to something that wants to download something, just don't do it).
The good news is that btdig is still working, only as an onion (dark web) site. They always ran both btdig.com and the onion site, and only the regular site went down. You will need to download Tor browser to access it, but after that it works just like any other website. The contents are the same. I got the address from wikipedia and gave it a try, and it's working great! I'll probably keep Tor just for this, because btdig is still so much better than any alternative. The only funny thing is it seems like they removed the english language - it loaded in Korean for me and there is a language chooser at the bottom of the page, Japanese and Chinese are available but not english. Not a big problem as the results are still in their original language regardless.
bt4g is OK as an alternative, but I think it only searches the torrent names and not the contents. For popular torrents that's fine, but it's much less useful since you can't search inside large torrents where a lot of good things are found.
