DE-censoring JAV with Free Open source LADA application

How's the quality of Waifu2x-Extension-GUI v3.134.01 vs video proc
I couldn't compare the results honestly. You can process small clips with videoproc, I didn't see that option in Waifu2x. All I saw is it was damn slow even with hardware encoding and I stopped. Waifu2x looks way more versatile than videoproc on the surface, but the big downside is it writes every frame to disk and that's really bad. I could probably batch the same functionality myself with an image upscaler such ESRGAN in comfyUI.
Anyways, I asked the dude on the other thread to show his settings, maybe that'll be the breakthrough. If not I'll try my luck in finding a ready made workflow in comfyUI when I have more time and try that route...

The quality you get depends on your settings. Your hardware profile will affect the time it takes with those settings. The post ur referring to was a comp between jasna and lada on the same platform, and on my end, lada seems to do better with the settings I used.

this is what I used. I'm getting ETAs of >8h for a 2h 720p->1080p movie vs 6h with video proc. In any case, nowhere near the 1.1x speed the guy talked about.
Looks like v0.4.0 jasna has now GUI and built in tvai support. I didn't do any tests yet but looks promising.

nice! he updated the detection model to v3 and he said v4 will be out there soon. I think that was the main issue in my v2 comparison since the restoration model was lada's. imna check it out thx!

Finally finished trying a couple videos using the LadaMac (MacOS) app, and:
a) Probably not optimal on a 2021 MBP M1Pro with only 16GB RAM (3 hours+ for a 1080p 2hr video)
b) Pretty amazing how well it does what it does, regardless of the time it takes-A while ago I looked into JAVPlayer, and it seemed so complicated I gave up, lol.
c) No floating watermarks!

I am posting 3 images: The original censored 1080p, The 1080p MacLada de-mosaiced, and just for reference a 720p JAVPlayer capture.

I haven't really checked out overall quality, but it is kinda crazy anyone can do this now-looking forward to seeing how the technology evolves.

btw the topaz integration in jasna isn't free, is it?
From what I saw, TopazVideoAI costs around 300$....
what did I miss?

It wasn't free in JavPlayer either when I used it.
I think the "clue" is in the github readme:
"TVAI (windows only). Use Google or buy from here."

Use google = find "unofficial" version
