She "retired" in 2015, the answer to "What happened to Ai Uehara" is that she is currently working the uncensored circuit while she waits for her comeback relaunch for Moodyz or someone, later this year probably.

She's long gone, hasn't tweeted or blogged since May, and like with Haruki Sato when she retired she's going to have a year worth of videos being released then they'll dry up, a lot of stuff was filmed months ago don't know why she's "shameless" she doesn't decide release dates, or video names. She's not working the uncensored market or anywhere, Nozomi Aso was in jail for two months and still had uncensored vids coming out

Kano Shibuya too?! She's so great, but her star was too bright. She really went all out in a short amount of time. Anal to Black actors in a year. I suspect Chitose Saegusa isn't far behind now. Is this really the end? :aaaa:

AV is not live action performance, those videos and video clips that new release this month was shot at least 3-4 months before :D

BTW, I'm having concerns about one of JAV's undisputed great performers over the past few years, Sakippo (Saki Hatsumi). She's really toned down her performances and chosen mostly low- to medium-heat roles this past year. I hope that doesn't mean she's....no I'm not going to say it. JAV can't afford to lose her, unless she decides to stay on cruise control, that is.

Also, it seems like Hibiki Otsuki is going the same route. I hope not but if so, this is not the way to go out. Usually they say you go out with a bang but those who've disappeared this past year, with the exception of Kaho K, Ai Uehara and Aino Kishi and maybe a couple others, have not gone out on top. They've just quietly faded into the sunset. Pfffft. A burp in the wind.

yeah you noticed it too, Saki Hatsumi, Hibiki Otsuki and Maya Kawamura toned down their performances :(

Satomi Suzuki and Kaori Saejima are few examples that just quietly faded, its so sudden

maybe its time to change generation, but so sad to lose great performers like them :(

yeah she already performed in some great videos, but not enough for me :( she still in good shape and still can perform a lot more videos

she was arrested for drugs, MAXING terminated her contract and she's out now don't know if she's awaiting trials, or things got dismissed

another actress that ruined her career becaused of drugs :(

don't know after got criminal record like this she still can work as performers, but I guess to be AV performer doesn't need to have a clean record as long not a killer right ?
