Did you happen to read my entire post? I outlined quite a few things that point directly to overt, public sexuality. Allow me to recap.
-Porn stores and prostitution 5 minutes from schools and student,business, and residentially-used train stations. There were two large stores that advertised "Books and DVDs", yet the inside was only porn magazines and porn DVDs. Walk about 5 minutes away from that store and there's a place you can go in for sex (if you have the money.) You needed to pass these places on the way to my high school in Nagoya, Japan.
-Tissue packets are handed out on the street in cities advertising prostitution. They're mostly handed out to men, because the ones for women ask for their recruitment at the job.
-Japanese porn might be censored, but nipples are shown on Japanese TV, and if it's not an obviously pornographic thing, genitals can be shown as well. Kid's cartoons (family programming) will have explicit genitals and breasts and nipples. I've seen it.
-Any Japanese convenience store of which there are thousands will have a multi-tiered rack of porn magazines (often including DVDs) right next to the regular magazines.
-Japanese people will read pornographic manga on trains, and chikan is more common than you think, though its more like rubbing knee or leg against a girl's leg.
-Public bathing, Japanese men bathing naked together, Japanese women doing the same. If you look hard enough you'll find mixed public baths.
-Japanese girls and their skirts. You might see more than you'd expect sometimes.
-You can rent Japanese porn at any movie rental store, as well as Japanese video game stores. And they usually have QUITE a large selection.
For the record, there are nude beaches in Japan, and there shouldn't be any joking about STDs on family programs in any country.
And for any Buddhist monastery you can point out (which there aren't many of in Japan--did you mean temples?) I can point out at least one Buddhist monk who has succumbed to carnal desire. I can introduce you to a Japanese girl who's been paid by a monk for sex, if you'd like.
