Problem is once you learn about video editing it actually take a lot of disciplines not to waste all my free time to re-edit each AV, to cut out the lame conversation, the too-too-long foreplay etc.

I've made it my mission to cut out every frame where a guy takes more than 10-20% of the screen out of every jav I have in my collection. Or anytime a guy's face or ass is anywhere on the screen.
They're ruining so many scenes with the damn guys.

Actually I prefer the ones with the Chinese live chat commercial (not casino) at the beginning. There are free programs that can help you trim the movie without re-encoding it, takes less than 10 minutes on a budget PC (think its a Duo). Once you did that it's like you get a watermark-free vid.

Actually you don't have watermark-free video, you have just ad-in-the-beginning-ad-free video.

Recently I've seen some mkv re-encodes who hide the ugly yellow text by blurring the surrounding, but that area of the screen is lost nonetheless.

There's appearently a new guy on the block, plastering his video with a small, unintrusive, transparent JPAV watermark. It's honestly the worst of them all.

If there's no watermark-free version available, I still vastly prefer the ones with the big fat yellow watermarks. The ones with those chinese ads...every video I got from them has out-of-sync audio. And those new JPAV dudes? While the watermark is small and unintrusive, all their rips have horrible FPS issues.

If you're going to put your name out there, at least do a good job with the video quality, jesus christ.

Nothing to do with Needs More Loli's selection for his post (which is EXCELLENT), but is it me or does that watermarked title also look slightly dull and grainy like it was upscaled when they re-encoded to add the watermarks? I tend to think so. Look how clear the watermarks are compared to the rest of the video.

Oh I'm certain that is the case.

In addition I've seen many old JAVs from 2012-2013 pop up in the torrents section sporting brand new watermarks. Those have for sure been re-encoded because they are smaller file size and of lower quality than the original rip released years prior. I know because I have the orginal rips.

And wtf is up with the new JPAV rips! 90% have shit quality frame rate and will freeze when you try to skip ahead.
