Hi all,

I'm trying to look for a free video conversion program which can convert some of my HD javs to normal quality ones as the files are too large and occupy a lot of space.

Do you have any recommendations for video conversion programs without watermark and time limit?

Thanks in advance

I've used mostly MeGUI and sometimes Handbrake when I used to do what you're about to do.

How much space is your collection taking up? With storage drives and other media being relatively cheap these days another option is keeping your HD titles as HD but offloading them from your computer?

I use HandBrake for this, since the HD versions of the movies tend to be the ones without the annoying watermarks that so many SD encodes have. HandBrake is free and open source.

I also used Handbrake when I recoded videos, and can recommend it. But I agree with Casshern2, these days HDD storage are so cheap it's not really worth the time, a 4TB HDD doesn't cost much. Since a couple of years I keep all my videos in full size on separate HDDs.
