I know many of you have your own pick of applications that you use for everyday browsing, video handling and everything else that you do in front of the PC. I'd just like to share my picks. Some of these add-ons/programs are useful for torrent downloads.

K-Lite Mega Codec Pack
Great for viewing videos of any kind.

Combined Community Codec Pack
Ideal for anime enthusiasts.

Rainmeter and Rocketdock
Free eye candy for your desktop.

FileZilla
Free FTP downloader.

JDownloader
Great pick for those who prefer direct downloads. This program serves as a download manager + automatic RAR/ZIP file extraction program. Just line up your RS or MU links and activate the auto extract plug-in and you'll have fresh JAV when you wake up!

Picasa
Eye candy image viewer.

Irfanview
More options and add-ons compared to Picasa (image resize and resampling).

DVD Identifier
Enables you to identify if your DVD is legit or is just a repacked low quality DVD made to look like an original. We don't want our DVD archive to be useless after a few months because of low-quality media now do we?
DVD Media Guide <<< Contains DVD ID Database (Use this when buying DVD Media) Using low-quality media will have you crying after a few months 'cause the DVD you burned your favorite porn flick on becomes unreadable.

Fast File Renamer
I use this for batch mp3 file renaming and image sets sorting.

Tor (w/ Tor Button Add-on for Firefox)
For anonymity.

Mozilla Firefox
Best browser IMO.

Suggested Firefox Add-ons:
Fast Dial - Faster than Speed Dial (in my case) and is a bookmark-like eye candy add-on for FF.
Bazzacuda Image Saver - Awesome tool for 4chan (or other image boards) enthusiasts (saves open all image tabs)
DowloadStatusBar - Makes downloading in FF less cluttered. Also an eye-candy.
DownloadHelper - Downloading videos from streaming sites won't be a problem anymore (except for selected unsupported website).
IE Tab - Best for those who download JAV torrents from torrent-hosting sites that do not support Firefox (attempting to download from such hosting sites will just open up a web page containing random codes).

That's it for now. Other recommendations are very much welcomed!

For Firefox I use image zoom, adblock plus and download helper for downloading flv(youtube videos) files and sometimes multiple images.

For video playback I use VLC,mostly so that I do not have to bother downloading other codecs.

I also have mplayer just in case I run across a .MKV that doesn't play to well on my pc.

Ophcrack is a useful program for finding out windows login pass words.

AlltoAVI is a useful program for converting MKV,OGM, RM/RMVB and other formats to .avi. Useful if you have a slow computer that has a hard time playing those files and if you have a dvd player that plays xvid/divx files. Since I have somewhat a slow computer(1.7gh celeron, 1 gig pc 2100 memory) it usually takes 20-30 minutes to convert a file to avi.

To convert flv files into avi I use super c

With the recommendations from other posters I use utorrent for torrents. On my slow computer I can download multiple files from utorrent and still watch .avi files or surf the internet. With bitspirit and bit comet this was almost impossible and sometimes bitcomet would freeze the computer.
