Boy things are moving slowly. It was that long since we discussed her EBOD announcement.
Judging from the cover, there's no way this EBOD-609 isn't just another standard S1 x Rion vid with EBOD- instead of SSNI- code.
If she was only on loan to E-Body for their 10th year anniversary, then it's just a meaningless blip.
OTOH, SSNI has quite a few hot properties to choose from for the loan, Yua Mikami's bust size is weaker than Rion, but still big enough for EBOD's branding. Yua is so much more prestigious than Rion if the aim of the deal is to give the 10th year a huge celebration.

So I can't help but speculate this "loan" to EBOD is a bit more than a loan. Maybe a test drive to see if she might respond to a rinse cycle in the minor league. Maybe a test to see if she might be more useful as a top star for EBOD then as a number 6 in SSNI. Face it, EBOD used to be better, but nowadays every time I sampled them I was disappointed. If Rion is only able to make these same kind of boring all-sex vids, why not let her perk up a droopy label? Or better yet, maybe EBOD can train the diva out of her.

I think Yua Mikami is S1's top 1. That should be undisputed. The rest... I don't know if there's meaningful "ranking". S1's roster is even more amazing than I thought when I take a serious look, in response to your question. Instead of trying to make a ranking, let's look at a few girls who are near the top and giving Rion pressure. Sorry I'm using Japanese names for now, when I have free time I will edit this post to include English names.
Just in the fresh face department there are at least 5: Miko Matsuda 松田美子 (the Yua Mikami wannabe), 日菜々はのん (pretty face, not yet a threat to Rion), 吉高寧々 (unproven, but IIRC, S1 gave her a huge debut in AVOP), 松本菜奈実 (most similar to Rion's body type, not as hot, but still a threat), 折原ゆら (same as 日菜々はのん, why is S1 signing so many girls of the same types??)
Obviously these girls are unproven but of these 5, reasonable to expect 1 or 2 will be threatening Rion's position. I'm betting on Miko Matsuda.
In the dairy cow department, Rion is facing Nana Fukada, Sakura Miura 水トさくら, 松本菜奈実 (already mentioned) and Aika Yumeno 夢乃あいか (she's been with S1 since 2013, before Rion's "launch", guess by logic she can't be threatening Rion, but still her staying strong is making S1 very rich in tits.

And one final name in the ex-idol department. 橋本ありな Arina Hashimoto, her type is not the same as Rion, but S1 treats her well with above-average productions.

If you compare the three performers you can see the very distinct styles. For the hack of it, throw Julia in there too, because Julia fan base and Rion fan base overlap quite a bit. Lookwise, Rion is hands-down champ. Julia's figure is close but still human. Rion's figure is Goddess. And Rion's face is cuter too. I like Julia's face, but she does need make up and even with make up, isn't everybody's cup of tea. Nana's tits might be the biggest but they do droop so if you mind droopy tits she's out. And her figures are thick, and face is the weakest amongst the four, in fact her face is ugly by AV idol standard. Koharu is cute and has a nice figure but not competitive in this group.

Anyway the point is to discuss performance. Koharu is perhaps the best performer in this group. She seems happy to have sex without feeling like a slut or whore. Out of the current gen, Koharu is one of the few I would mention comparing to the great Yuma Asami.

1. she retired

Despite the general opinions of those in this thread I think 3 is unlikely. Her popularity definitely fell off from her debut/comeback but compared to many other still on S1's roster she still seems more popular. Her movies tend to sell well and she's somewhat of a big/known name. She just updated her instagram today and if she were to retire I doubt she would keep that stuff up; she's never really been one to make a ton of appearances outside of JAV and the potential for her to move onto something not AV related seems very low. She also doesn't seem to be the type to keep fans updated after her retirement like some other stars have. Which means personally, I'm betting on number 2- a break for a month or two and then coming back to make more movies. It could be she wants a break, could be that there are some weird production delays with her next movie, but I think she'll be back. on the previous page, Aoi Tsukasa, and Minami Kojima have done vids for other companies and had there stuff skipped but went right back into the rotation the next month. For what its worth if she was dropped she's waaaaay to big for E-Body she would go to Moodyz or SOD if she was dropped and wanted to continue, so it's a one off thing probably

Moe is popular , but definitely not on the level of other petite girls with the same body frame like her such as rio, mihiro, Aino, and more in the past. I think minami might be more popular, but her fake high pitch voice is annoying. Akiho is in the industry for 15 years, so I think she's probably quite High too. Miura would be higher like kana momonogi and sakura momo of ideapocket, but she's too lifeless and monotone despite possessing great skin and body.
Julia isn't limited by s1 to film vanilla though. Rion movies are boring compare to the titles film by other s1 idols. Although, she did film an entire movie with that fat guy, so I guess that counts as something towards the disgracing an idol/less vanilla pov work.
I’m only talking about current S1S1 girl rankings not all time, and Akiho(Acky) is in my top 10. Moe is the face of the homegrown girls(expect Rion she’s her own category) she’s the hest positioned of them, and in my opinion she’s second most popular
According to this monthly ranking by DMM I found somewhere... Rion is ranked no. 2, ahead of Shokotas (3) and Yua (5). So perhaps she is doing great, and I'm just whining about nothing.
But frankly whenever I see these rankings I am mystified. Not just the relative rankings of known idols, I mean sure my preference or knowledge is definitely personal and not 100% representative. A few idols who I like a bit are ranked all the way down in the 90s (and a few more, I'm sure, didn't make the top 100). And then in the top 20... I have zero impression of these girls: 1, 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, 14, 15... that's 8 out of 20. I think my taste is relatively mainstream, how can nearly half of the top 20 are unknown to me, and that's the same story everytime I see these rankings.
Sorry not trying to go OT about rankings. But the point is ranking Rion as no.2 overall is highly suspicious!
