I'm new to this board, but I can already tell this is a place I wouldn't mind contributing to. I don't want to be that guy who takes and never gives anything back. I'm not very savy when it comes to DVD ripping, torrents, and the like, so I guess I'll just tell you guys what I have, and hopefully you can help me figure out what to do with it.

I have the complete boxsets of several anime: Evangelion+End of+Death & Rebirth; Serial Experiments Lain; Boogiepop Phantom; Aeon Flux(anime or no?). In addition to these, I have several standalone DVDs such as Ninja Scroll, Ninja Resurection, Patlabor 1&2, Perfect Blue, etc.

I really enjoy these and would like to share them with you guys. So I guess to begin with I need some sort of free DVD ripping software. Any suggestions? After I rip them, what would be the best way to share them? If it is by torrents, is there some FAQ somewhere to help me make them?

For dvd ripping software and guides, I'd suggest you check out http://www.videohelp.com, a very comprehensive site on ripping, converting, etc. I'm not very competent in this area so thats all the help I can offer you.

As for sharing, torrents are the way to go. Here is a guide on how to create a torrent, its very easy to do.
