Dear Admin

Thank you for this fantastic site in the name of all of us.

Is there any chance that Akiba Online could offer SSL encryption (https) for the users?
For no other site would it make more sense to use SSL than for Akiba, to protect the privacy of the users against spying internet providers, LANs, routers, state, etc.

Please consider it.

Thank you very much.

A nice idea, but SSL increases server load and this site already likes to show 503 Service Unavailable messages as it is.

I do recommend HTTPS for the staff members though. Enable HTTPS on the server for staff and then use the HTTPS Everywhere add-on to automatically rewrite all normal links on the forum to HTTPS ones.
