Hello,

After having leeched and seed for sometime now that I'm running out of HDD space.

Trying to burn some into CD and DVD and I found that some movies cannot be written while others can. All I get is no file to be written message - unlike the other files. I'm using nero burning tool.

Apparently they are somewhat copy protected. I will be running of space at this pace of share, and do not want to part with the movie collection :full:

Any lead to save the files would be most appreciated.

I'm not too sure about the copy protection as how would one would be able to rip the DVD? Anyway, you could try another burning tool as Nero sometimes have problems in ripping movies onto DVD/CDs. Try using Ulead Moviefactory but get the latest version which is version 6.

It might be because of your file name. Try changing them into English or shorten it if it's too long. I'm also using Nero. Never had any problem burning files.

I don't think there is such a thing as copy protected function in the video formats.

there are copy protection for files but are verry rare you downloaded any. the best bet would either change the file to english and shorter than 20 characters and you should be fine.
