i have had "You have 1 confirmed and 0 unconfirmed private message receipts" in my pm box for like forever... am i just missing something?

It is saying you sent a PM that the person had to confirmed they got it.
Click on "You have 1 confirmed and 0 unconfirmed private message receipts" and it will show you the PM and delete it if you don't wont it.
