I've always wanted to order IV DVDs from amazon and CD Japan but given the nature of the DVDs, I'm afraid the custom might confiscate them. Therefore, I have a few questions before I proceed.

1. Are some shipping methods (FedEx, EMS etc) more reliable than the other? Are there any special boxes to tick or extra charges to pay in order for my package to arrive 100% hassle free?
2. Is it safer to mark the DVDs as gifts?
3. Anybody can share their experience with these? Tips and suggestions?

Obviously, I can always turn to this site to download many IVs (and I'm very very thankful for that :D ) but some titles never see the light of day on the internet. Only video samples and bits. :(

not sure what you mean about the nature IV material, there is nothing in it, unless it is stronger than that, then it is not IV. (unless it is your country that is stricter than most places, I did order some Yuko Ogura material through ebay, and I got it,

but I am sure there must be some insurance on such matters

Yes, I do mean regular IVs and unfortunately, my country is a bit strict. I'm afraid custom might confiscate them. :(

What do you mean by insurance? Do I have to pay extra fee to the shipping company so that the item clears easily or it doesn't make a difference at all?

I see, best to find out more from local people

insurance does mean you pay that little, but it means if you do not get the package, your money is reimbursed, but again that depends on what type of policy you get , you have to read the small print very carefully, but if local laws are that strict, then your next bet is to find a local outlet that will deal with it, but it will mean you will pay way over the odds for the material (DVD)
