I'll keep my eyes open on WinMX. I am not on Share; I didn't have the patience to learn how to get it working, especially through my firewall.

Guys, I am planning to slowly migrate my uploads to Hotfile and will likely be dumping Netload. Apologies to those who have paid for a Netload account primarily for my files.

Download speed from Netload is without a doubt awesome, no question about it. But it's the upload tools, administration and support that are pissing me off. Netload's Upload Manager tool used to be a quick way to provide me links to my uploaded files but several months ago it only gave me a blank screen. It is likely not my fault as I have tried reinstalling my OS but to no avail. I had to write my own program just to workaround that problem. Sometimes my upload would stuck in the upload queue for some unknown reason and it could take days before they can respond and fix my problem. Their response time is also one of the worst in the business. Support personnel normally takes a few days before they can respond to my calls for help. Accounting is pretty much the same. Back in the early days there is at least 1 support personnel who would chat with you; now there are none and it'll be a miracle if they ever reply to your mails. There is also the royal pain of occasional corrupt and missing files as you might have noticed by now. Last but not least, those with Premium accounts, be sure to change your passwords regularly. My account has been hacked in the past before and I seriously doubt it was my fault considering I am quite a paranoid person when it comes to security.

oh yea, that's right, I am currently having problem with upload too. because everytime when i upload, it will get corrupted. then i have to reupload lol. and the upload doesn't seem reliable. But no doubt the speed is freaking fast. Anyway if you are moving to hotfile then i will too since i have one year subscription there too lol hahhaa

BTW: just check my upload... another two file corrupted. shit, that's why i haven't posted new file until now.....

How's Hotfile's download speed? Is it comparable to Netload's? I am currently using a free account and not too sure how well the Flashget/Flashgot download managers work with it.

Switching to Hotfile is the easy part. Now I have to rewrite my program that generates the Jade Video Report to support Hotfile. That will not be a easy task especially considering I'm not a very good programmer.

Use your regular userid and password to login. Navigate your ftp client like you do that in HTTP.

Upload speed is very stable and faster than Netload. I hope premium download would be just as fast and stable.

Yes, free account's download speed is slower and the CAPTCHA is a problem. Sometimes it asks you to enter words, sometimes it doesn't. I think the JDownloader team is still working on an automated recognition tool. Eventually they will figure it out.

Embarrassingly, I used an old but very fast script processor known as Kixtart and various plugins including Kixforms, Kixforms Designer, and Kix2exe to name a few. It's very limited but with the help of other command-line capable tools and interacting with Windows COM scripting, it can do most tasks just fine.

Jade Video Report update

I have updated the Jade Video Report to show WinMX hash codes for some of the not-yet-downloaded files. This allows you to copy the hash codes and do your own search and download if you don't wish to wait for me to do it (afterall, I have too many to download so I might need to delete a lot of them and concentrate on a few). There are just too many, so check back from time to time for more. Be sure to share it here once you have downloaded it.

@Pocs: You would be especially interested in the Pearl section. :cheer:
