Another good AI subtitle tool is WhisperJAV which uses Whisper along with filters to correct transcription errors. The original version used Google Collab, but the current version runs locally.

Until now, we were using Subtitle Edit, which also uses Whisper locally, to transcribe Japanese audio into Japanese subtitles, and then we translated the Japanese into our language with DeepLTranslator. Or gpt-oss now.
Does this WhisperJAV also translate subtitles? As far as I know, Whisper only transcribes audio to text.
If it only transcribes, I could try a combination of WhisperJAV + gpt-oss. Thanks for the tip!!

This is a bit strange... S1 announces a new VR... for a month from now... Normally, all their announcements are made a week in advance. Maybe they did it to remind us that they're on vacation... Something I don't understand, they could have saved a release for August...

Anyway, the fact is that here we have the long-awaited VR debut of Seto Kanna, who apparently is a very charismatic woman who radiates positivity and calm, at least that's what it looks like in the trailer.

I found it funny what it says in the synopsis of the movie: “Not only fans but also production staff and even AV actors will be melted. The true charm of Kanna Seto is contained here.” It's the first time I've seen a movie recommended not for fans, but for porn producers and actors...

The truth is that Seto Kanna has a serene face, a beautiful smile, and a great body... Those huge tits look real... And the trailer has all the immersive positions. I'll be buying it on the first day.

Interesting project for sure but you need a GPU with cuda architecture for this. I have a RX 9070 XT in my main system so not an option for me unfortunately.

Do you just transcribe the audio or also translate to English with it? Because the translation with the vanilla whisper is not good which is the reason I have used DeepL for it so far.

And how do you translate? Do you copy and paste the text, or do you tell gpt to translate what's in the subtitle file?

I'm not an LLM power user so not sure what the optimal way doing it is. But I have just copied the text of the subtitle and included both the subtitles and instructions in one single prompt which did work. Maybe this is not optimal because GPT does 3 or 4 loops. First it just translates, than it removes the Japanese part and some more loops in which it tries to make it sound more natural and to change the text not censoring it and so on.

You can try my method or just go wild on the LLM and try different methods.

DSVR-979 is well worth a view if you like immersive experiences.

Had a quick look at this. Very funky stuff but nothing that I would enjoy. In general I hate music in JAV VR and this title plays some terrible techno all the time. But interesting title nonetheless.

Speaking of music in JAV VR: it's one of those things that I hate about SAVR releases. They always play music for a couple minutes in the beginning of every part and it never fits with what's going on. I guess in general music is fine when they do these jumpcuts in the beginning for like a minute when the girl poses for the camera. That's ok to me but for everything else I prefer no music at all. How do you guys feel about this?

I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a porn movie. I look for realism and intimacy, so I don't like it when there's music playing. But the music they play when they introduce the girl, posing, doesn't bother me.

To me the trailer is ok, but nothing too spectacular. I hope for more VRs with her and with a different director.

Ha ha, you've really taken a dislike to ZAMPA... I've criticized him many times, but I don't see anything wrong with this trailer, quite the contrary. The camera is close up, there's a F2F seated cowgirl, a F2F missionary, a 69 where the actress put her ass in your face, a doggie... That's my five aces...

Normally I'm not a fan of music, but this video was such a mind f**k that it added to the experience. A bit of herb helps too!

It only accepts audio either in a video container or as a extracted audio file, but it can output either English or Japanese. There's a Google Collab version in the Notebook which might work depending on your comfort in uploading the audio file to your Google Drive account as well the continuing generosity of Google in supplying the compute resources.

Yeah debut of one S1 newest stars is going to be highly anticipated. With S1 finally wrapping up their anniversary releases I wouldn't be surprised if they simply ran out of VR videos in their pipeline.
