And the girls keep comming to the studios. It seems that there is a never-ending source of girls running into the sex-studios.

They are doing it for the money.

My question:

How much money get the girls get for a normal 2 hours video?

Normally they do 3 or 4 sex-scenes with 3 or 4 professional male porn actors.
I think the studios produce such a video (DVD) on one day.

How much money do the girls get for such a DVD?

That means E-body, Sod, Abc/ Mousou Zoku, Gas etc. make a contract with a girl:

2. You make 1 DVD for us. We pay you xxxx Yen for this DVD.

So, what get the girl for 1 DVD?

The background of my question is the following:

There are only few porn-girls that make it "professionally".
Only a handfull earn their livelihood as professional porn actresses.

I suspect: Hitomi Tanaka, Rin Kajika aka Ria Sakuragi, Julia, Airu Ooshima and some 20 other girls, they are professional porn actresses who earn their living from it.

My assumption:
The vast majority of porn girls will do 10, 20 or 30 DVDs and disappear after 1, after 2 or 3 years from the scene.
I would call this group "semi-professional". They do it for a good pocket money.

Hi Nasi; I noticed on another thread your asking this question, and I am sensing - because you started a new thread focusing on it, and because of your passionate posts - that you really want to get an idea. I wanted to see what I could do to help, as I remember a story about JAV actresses, where chances are good their pay was discussed. (The pay was not strikingly high, if I remember correctly.)

I thought the article was in the news section, but going through the listings, I could not find it. I do remember referring to this article in another post, and I even provided the link for it... but now the link is gone, given the Akiba-Online change-over. There was an article about the male actors, and we get an idea of what they make; of course, men make much less than women, in porn. (Possibly one-quarter as much as the women?) The relevant passage:

I have no idea how much each kind of JAV actress makes, I guess the general rule of economy applies... If it pays really a lot, then it must be a lousy working condition or lifestyle. I'm actually guessing that since we see so many fresh faces every year, every month.... you are even forgetting the huge number of nearly-amateur ones who takes a (presumably) fake name, do one or maybe just a couple vids, never establish a career or a name and then disappear. Also we don't hear that many tragic stories... OD, accidental death or suicides.

From all that I'm actually guess it's just much more acceptable to enter the sex service business for some extra income, then move on and do whatever, a regular housewife mostly, with the rest of your life. It seems the way Japanese men and women view a stint in prostitution or JAV just like we (in the West) view premarital sex. I mean it's not something you advertise or even comfortable as a intimate conversation between bf/gf, but also no men expect a red stain on the honeymoon bed. We (men) are happy enough if the women is monogamous while married, not necessarily monogamous for life.

From all that, I would guess it pays well enough, but not exactly BIG money.
