yes they are still shooting and the lack of cash for everyone might push regular av actresses into more extreme genres.
That is a great point which I completely agree with. If I may add something to your statement, I believe the current COVID situation and the economic fallout from it will drive more out of work women into the business (And hopefully into gokkun!!) out of sheer necessity.
Also worth noting that enthusiasts who patronize a relatively niche genre like gokkun (JAV and Non-JAV) alike tend to spend on titles despite the economic situation.
The studios are generally aware of these dynamics and will likely devote a great deal of energy to scouting out any diamonds in the rough who are without a source of income and beginning to consider "other opportunities" to make a quick buck. For someone to come along and say "This is what you need to do, but it will net you 6 months of what you made as a waitress/bartender/etc" is a very powerful draw for an individual with a very uncertain future and, if they are getting an offer, a likely very hot body they can put to good use. Leveraging the current climate to push regular av actresses into gokkun is also, as I mentioned agreement with earlier, a very realistic possibility.
I realize I am making some wide assumptions here, but you get the point...
That is three factors working in our collective favor:
1) "Temporary" halt to jobs like waitress, soapland, masseuse, karaoke bar hostesses, etc. and the cash flow from those jobs
2) Consumers who will typically spend on gokkun titles even if financial situation is difficult, as well as others that spend a ton on gokkun titles as collectors, and everything in between
3) Studios who know their customers and the talent landscape enough to scout like its hot, lower their costs depending on growth of the talent pool, leverage genre expansion for existing AV actresses, and crank out some super edgy titles because of the talent supply glut as well as some lower price points for location, etc.
This could be GREAT for us indeed. Also helps that we have this forum to exchange ideas and scoops about gokkun titles. I have bought quite a few excellent titles after reading about them here. Am very much keeping my hopes up about the future of gokkun in the current environment, and look forward to seeing the titles and discussions it will hopefully result in.
