Ever got a nosebleed cause you were aroused?

Well we see it in anime everytime but has anyone here actually experienced it in real life? It doesn't matter what aroused you i.e. ecchi anime, hentai , live girls etc.

actually I heard of someone getting a nosebleed from watching hentai, that's why i thought of making this thread to see whether that has happened to other people

It's possible, but very rare.
Mostly only happens to people who has nose bleed often.
Never happened to me.

I'd think it would only happen to people who have little or almost no sexual output (thoughts, hentai, sex, porn, masturbation) and probably if they are like Denamic said, have alot of nosebleeds.

It's never happened to me personally. I've never had a nosebleed period, but my male friend said it happened to him when he was walking back to his house and caught a lesbian couple making out on their front steps. I can't say how true this is, but... that's my two cents. You'd probably have to ask someone with medical expertise, to see if such a thing would really be possible or even likely.

I can't believe two people answered "yes" to this poll (not to mention Astb's friend). I Googled "nosebleed sexual arousal", and all I found were people wondering about the phenomenon in manga and anime. I didn't find a single English-language medical reference to the phenomenon. So then I Googled in Japanese, "鼻血 性的 興奮". The first item was the Japanese-language Wikipedia article on nosebleeds (epistaxis), in which there is one sentence on the subject. Here's my translation:

The common appearance of nosebleeds during sexual arousal in manga, anime and dramas is nothing more than a manga-esque form of expressing a state of excitement; there is no medical relationship between sexual urges and nosebleeds.

(Unfortunately, no references are given for this statement. I would like to see a hematologist make a formal declaration somewhere, you know? Can you imagine the Japanese Hematology Society calling a news conference and saying, "You know that thing in manga where the guy gets a nosebleed because he's sexually aroused? That doesn't really happen.") Out of curiosity, I checked the English-language article on epistaxis, but found no mention of sex at all. This seems to be a strictly Japanese urban myth. I'll try to track down the origin. It would be interesting if it predates World War II.

Some reporter actually asked a otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist), as well as an expert on manga for a semi-serious little article on "R25.jp" ("The web oasis that sets men free" :snicker Dr. OHKUBO Kimihiro of the Department of Otolaryngology at the Nippon Medical School Hospital said there's no medical connection. However, "when one is excited, blood tends to rush to the face and head, so it isn't entirely inconceivably, but could only happen in someone with high blood pressure who is prone to nosebleeds."

So then the reporter asked manga writer OHNISHI Shohei where this came from. According to Ohnishi, it started with the popular 1970s gag manga artist TANIOKA Yasuji, whose manga "Mettameta gakidou kouza" popularized the phrase "Hanaji buuuu!!" ("Hanaji" means "nosebleed" and "buuu!!" is the sound of the blood spurting out.) But in Tanioka's manga, it wasn't just sexual arousal, but anger or just being punched that would result in "Hanaji buuuu!!" :nosebleed: Ohnishi says this was picked up by manga artists in the 1980s, such as "Dr. Slump" and "Dragonball" creator TORIYAMA Akira and "Kickoff" creator CHIBA Taku, who used it exclusively to represent sexual arousal.

I'm actually a bit disappointed. I was hoping to find references dating from the Edo Period or even earlier, but it seems to be less than 40 years old. :dunno:

but i do have a friend who has this condition that he would bleed from the nose without any reason. i didn't ask him much about his condition. but i believe it would have got be some birth defects in his nose somewhere that cause the problem.

When you're aroused, your heart will start beating faster, which will in turn increase your blood pressure.
And if you've got frail and/or shallow blood veins in your nasal cavity, one of them might burst.
And you leak.

Fascinating phenomenon. So it's almost as if your penis becomes--how would you put it?--erect? You might even call such a phenomenon an "erection." Hmm. Maybe this is a crazy idea, but I think such a condition might actually facilitate sexual intercourse. :virtuous: I've found that nosebleeds definitely do not facilitate sexual intercourse. In fact, they pretty much destroy the whole mood.

I feel much brighter now that someone has explained erections to me.

I doubt that's it all of Subiedubidoo's blood in his 'dik' either.... but that's another qualm altogether. I do agree with IDIW though. The blood might serve more of a purpose in other more spelling orientated places, perhaps.

I did find this article on epistaxis interesting, but maybe I'm a nerd because I enjoy learning.

same, the sight of blood, brings nightmares. After my younger sisters first menstation and she ran around the house showing everyone (only boy amoung 5 siblings!!!!) like some kind of award.:donotwant::shiver::surprised:mg:

i generally hate the sight of blood even mine, its got a certain smell to it:shiver:
