What say you?

Today, I'm on an IBM ThinkCentre 8143-2JU workstation.
3.0 GHz (Hyper threading) 2 gig ram, 250 gig SATA 3 hard drive, DVD-RW..
Gigabyte Ethernet on the IBM motherboard. IEEE1394 for Video downloads.
Unix OS, (PC-BSD) Version 8.0.. Really kind of fast..

PC-BSD installed without any worries.. Installed all drivers the first try.

And, it's free.. (Open source)

What say you?

Tomorrow, I'll be on something else) :study:

Well, if you are satisfied with that setup, i don't really see a reason to change or upgrade. I used the same computer for 7 years, only for watching animes, reading mangas and playing some doujin games. I was happy with it all this time. Now i changed since i got some money, but that wasn't really needed for me...

I agree. I used my last computer for 6-7 years until some internal parts I couldn't replace finally went down. I only used it to watch videos and surf the net.

If your current setup fulfills all your needs, there's really no reason to waste money on an upgrade.

Today, I'm surfing on an HP dc7600 Pentium 4 3.0, 2 gig ram, XP Pro, 160 gig SATA, DVD-RW, 500 gig data drive..

(It's because I repair them and have some sitting on the shelf)
Running them keeps the OS updated.:study:

Today, Toshiba Core 2 Duo, 4 gig ram, 500 gig HD, Windows Vista..

(Still updating the OS)

I just want make sure that my computer can handle my needs smoothly. In my case I don't need anything beyond playing hi-def videos and running Starcraft 2. Of course I'm going to look for the best bang for my buck.
