Yes, no doubt some white women, or women of any race, would be attracted to the men of another race because of the exotic flavor; but I'd imagine if this was the reason that pulled them in for experimental reasons, many would not be attracted to go for it a second time, because they've already tried the flavor on the menu. (Unless the flavor is chocolate, because we all know once you go black, you never go back.) So exoticism is not enough of a reason, if we are talking about the majority of women.

In America at least, I'm afraid attitudes will have to shift more before Asian men are regarded as sexual studs. Asian men have not been at the forefront of a white woman's tastes for a long time, because of racist attitudes, and certain sexual stereotypes that play against the Asian male. This negative attitude may not be as true as it was in the past, but it is still in place; we can look at media influences to see how Asian men are depicted, and the sexual potency image for Asian men is very limited. (How many Asian men in movies or TV shows have a "hunk" reputation? Off the top of my head, let's take an international star (and of course not a Japanese one) such as Jackie Chan; he is not (or was not) a draw because of his sexual stunt work. A current popular TV show, DEXTER, has an Asian man in the cast, but his role is that of the buffoonish comic relief. Naturally there are exceptions, but they are very, very rare.

So then what remains is the assertion from above that Asian men take more time in bed, and therefore work to satisfy their women more. That is quite a generalization; what do we base such scientific conclusions on, from watching porn? No heterosexual man knows how other heterosexual men make love, because almost always straight men don't have other men in the same room when they make love. We can only go by what our girlfriends tell us as far as their experience with other men, or from female opinions we read in women's magazines and other outlets. (Scattered opinions naturally cannot substitute for scientific study; and as far as scientific study is concerned, I'd doubt any studies of depth were conducted on this sensitive topic.)

Even if the assertion that Asian men are such great lovers should somehow turn out to be generally true, how would the white woman know about that? The only way she can know is through her own experience, which means she would have had to give an Asian man a shot in the first place. But she couldn't have given an Asian man a shot because she believes Asian men are so sexually irresistible, given that there is nothing around that tells us that (aside from, maybe, some porn; especially the G-Spot experts that are so successful in fake, simulated settings). So this reasoning amounts to one heck of a Catch-22.


EDIT: Entirely by coincidence, having turned on the "Movie Classics" channel shortly after writing the above, a film called A MAJORITY OF ONE (1961) was playing: "A Jewish widow (Rosalind Russell) from Brooklyn falls for a charming Japanese businessman on a cruise." So you see, there is some cinematic precedence for AMWF. Yet in fairness, let's keep in mind the AM had nothing in common with Tenant, and looked exactly like Alec Guinness.
