Normal? That depends on what type of JAV you like.

Sex can get a little stale at times in a long term relationship so there is nothing wrong with watching porn with your partner to pick up ideas or just to liven things up a little. Using porn as instructional videos is not a new idea either. People in porn have sex for a living so it would seem they have some clue as to what they are doing. Yet remember that these are just performers, actors and actresses that play a part and that you have to take what they do and how they react with a grain of salt. Because with them it is about the performance and with you and your partner it is about intimacy. Two different things.
As far as are you cheating on your wife if you watch and collect porn? Turn the tables on that question. Would your wife be cheating on you if she watched and collected porn? Answer that honestly and you are on the right track on knowing what to do.
If you want to improve your sex life with your wife improve on the romance in your life. Porn is not going to do that. Spend time with her doing things like horseback riding, canoing, picnics by a lake or some other intimate and personal setting or outing. If you invest in your marriage it not only has a better chance of survival it just might grow into a deeper and more meaningful relationship.
