Plot: Min (Lily Chung-popular Cat 3 Actress), who moved to Hong Kong as a teenager 25 years ago from Fujian province, China, lives in a high-rise flat in North Point with her two sons, teenage Wenjie (Lam Chun-kin) and young Xiaowu (Au-yeung Oi-lam), and Wenjie’s girlfriend from China, Xiaoyun (Zeng Xing). A single woman, she runs a small sewing business and is a devout Buddhist, regularly attending a local temple and helping out with charitable deeds. One day she sells up her business and, with the help of Xia (Wong Yi-kam), an old friend who moved with her to Hong Kong, starts selling life assurance. When Xiaoyun discovers she’s pregnant, Wenjie is delighted and the two plan to marry, though Min is concerned where the money will come from. 阿敏（钟淑慧）是一个在香港生活的福建人，这样的人在香港有很多，他们是香港人眼中的大陆人，是大陆人眼中的香港人。阿敏每天除了不停的推销保险，就是虔诚的诵经，偶尔也会和福建同乡一起聚会唱歌。阿敏和同乡一样介绍大陆人在香港生孩子，一是收取中介费用，二是很多大陆来生孩子的人都会为刚出生的BB买大额的保险。在一次诵经法会上，阿敏认识了从大陆来的李伟，得知李伟的妻子已经怀孕三个月。阿敏将李伟夫妇安排到自己家中待产，他们发现小小的几十平米的房子里还有另外一对到香港来生孩子的福建夫妇。这时，阿敏的大儿子文杰突然告诉阿敏，自己的女友晓芸已经怀孕了，晓芸大陆的姨妈来到香港，要求他们尽快结婚，并按大陆的规矩付给女方家里一笔不小的提亲费。阿敏的小儿子小武又患有多动症，经常逃学不上课，在家中也经常带来麻烦。阿敏家乱极了，两个生孩子的孕妇、多动症的小武、自己因为没做到一张保单而被公司要求退还工资，还有要准备一大笔钱给文杰结婚，……
