Plot: The movie tells the tragic story of a Semi-truck driver (Louis Koo) who accidentally runs over and kills a restaurant owner (Yin Xiaotian) in a car accident. When he finds out that Yin's wife (Huang Yi) is pregnant and has to work hard to run her husband's business, he decides to help her even though it may anger his girlfriend (Karen Mok). 香港葵涌码头装卸区，货柜车司机许城亮(古天乐 饰) 等载货北上，开始一天的工作。 港穗高速公路旁有一间由小夫妻张谦（印小天 饰）和陆茵(黄奕 饰) 打理的小餐馆。夜深，张谦踏着摩托车回家，途中接到陆茵的来电，没留意迎面一辆高速货柜车驶来，把他连人带车撞倒，原来该货柜车司机就是城亮。凌晨，张谦宣告不治。此时陆茵更发现怀了身孕，丈夫却离世了，她决定把孩子生下来，并重开餐馆艰苦经营，继承亡夫的事业。事隔月余，城亮终于鼓起勇气走进陆茵打理的餐馆用餐，更在女友苏珊(莫文蔚饰) 体谅下，不时主动帮忙店内杂务，两人渐成好友。后陆茵发现城亮就是撞死丈夫的货柜司机，她怒气地看着城亮被张谦弟张军痛打致重伤……城亮回到香港家中，却被苏珊讥讽他自讨苦吃，两人大吵一场，苏...
