Until now, we were using Subtitle Edit, which also uses Whisper locally, to transcribe Japanese audio into Japanese subtitles, and then we translated the Japanese into our language with DeepLTranslator. Or gpt-oss now.
Does this WhisperJAV also translate subtitles? As far as I know, Whisper only transcribes audio to text.
If it only transcribes, I could try a combination of WhisperJAV + gpt-oss. Thanks for the tip!!
 
This is a bit strange... S1 announces a new VR... for a month from now... Normally, all their announcements are made a week in advance. Maybe they did it to remind us that they're on vacation... Something I don't understand, they could have saved a release for August...

Anyway, the fact is that here we have the long-awaited VR debut of Seto Kanna, who apparently is a very charismatic woman who radiates positivity and calm, at least that's what it looks like in the trailer.

I found it funny what it says in the synopsis of the movie: “Not only fans but also production staff and even AV actors will be melted. The true charm of Kanna Seto is contained here.” It's the first time I've seen a movie recommended not for fans, but for porn producers and actors... :p

The truth is that Seto Kanna has a serene face, a beautiful smile, and a great body... Those huge tits look real... And the trailer has all the immersive positions. I'll be buying it on the first day.

Interesting project for sure but you need a GPU with cuda architecture for this. I have a RX 9070 XT in my main system so not an option for me unfortunately.

Do you just transcribe the audio or also translate to English with it? Because the translation with the vanilla whisper is not good which is the reason I have used DeepL for it so far.

I'm not an LLM power user so not sure what the optimal way doing it is. But I have just copied the text of the subtitle and included both the subtitles and instructions in one single prompt which did work. Maybe this is not optimal because GPT does 3 or 4 loops. First it just translates, than it removes the Japanese part and some more loops in which it tries to make it sound more natural and to change the text not censoring it and so on.

You can try my method or just go wild on the LLM and try different methods.

Had a quick look at this. Very funky stuff but nothing that I would enjoy. In general I hate music in JAV VR and this title plays some terrible techno all the time. But interesting title nonetheless.

Speaking of music in JAV VR: it's one of those things that I hate about SAVR releases. They always play music for a couple minutes in the beginning of every part and it never fits with what's going on. I guess in general music is fine when they do these jumpcuts in the beginning for like a minute when the girl poses for the camera. That's ok to me but for everything else I prefer no music at all. How do you guys feel about this?

I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a porn movie. I look for realism and intimacy, so I don't like it when there's music playing. But the music they play when they introduce the girl, posing, doesn't bother me.

Ha ha, you've really taken a dislike to ZAMPA... I've criticized him many times, but I don't see anything wrong with this trailer, quite the contrary. The camera is close up, there's a F2F seated cowgirl, a F2F missionary, a 69 where the actress put her ass in your face, a doggie... That's my five aces... :P

Normally I'm not a fan of music, but this video was such a mind f**k that it added to the experience. A bit of herb helps too!

It only accepts audio either in a video container or as a extracted audio file, but it can output either English or Japanese. There's a Google Collab version in the Notebook which might work depending on your comfort in uploading the audio file to your Google Drive account as well the continuing generosity of Google in supplying the compute resources.

Yeah debut of one S1 newest stars is going to be highly anticipated. With S1 finally wrapping up their anniversary releases I wouldn't be surprised if they simply ran out of VR videos in their pipeline.

I don't normally like breasts of that size but I'm gonna check this out cos I figure that she has to be topping the Fanza charts for a reason. Plenty of big boobed stars in the top half of Fanza but only Kanna has been able to regularly challenge Saika for #1 while knocking Mio off #2.

I bought it, and it's pretty good. Although there was something about the actress that I didn't like, but now I can't remember what it was.

The scene in the kitchen with the apron is good, it's erotic. The VR is immersive and the actress's performance is quite natural. She has an amateurish air about her, or a next-door-neighbor vibe (well, next door if you live in Japan... :P ) , which adds realism.

For me, VR Paradise is one of the worst VR studios out there because their VRs aren't immersive. They always tend to place the camera far away, and there are no close-up missionary shots.
That's why this title is a shock for me. First, because it advertises nudity, something that nobody does anymore. Using a cover with only nudity is taboo in JAV VR. And second, because it has all the immersive positions that I like. Plus the actress Uno Kanna is a MILF with small tits, which I find quite attractive. This is the first VR Paradise movie I'm going to buy.

The irony is that on Fanza's website, the director field is empty. It's their most immersive movie out of the 122 VR titles they've released, and they don't credit the director...

If VR Paradise and other similar studios released 1 in 5 titles like this, I'd be satisfied...

You are right, I just criticized it without giving a reason:
1) it has no theme or story, just the 'hey let's have sex with me' gonzo style. I don't need much, she can just be your girlfriend or coworker or whatever. The story dosen't have to be complicated or unique but give me something so I can relate to the situation and girl and to me it especially matters for the debut. It just seems like a detail but helps me to get immersived and relate to the situation/girl
2) you say the camera is close, which is true for some angles that you especially care about like the missionary but in others it's not close. In the end I will skip all/most of these parts including the blowjobs which the director especially is terrible at filming and will take too much time. Substract that from 79 minutes and you have like 15 minutes of introduction and 12 minutes of sex scenes. If you want to see real closeness watch the trailer from Attackers again and compare

Of course I will definitely watch this one regardless. The girl is too damn pretty.

Came across two more titles with a date. Not sure if you like it because they have what you critized (I agree) that they are blurry or are in 2D but what can you do because otherwise not much else exists. Anyways I tought that it still might be of interest for some

The classic: you hook up with Mei on a dating app and meet her for a nice meal in a restaurant. The place is pretty crowded and loud but I liked it for it's realism.

Mei is totally amazing and very flirtatious and her outfit is killing me, so pretty. The downside is of course that it is low res and 2D.

But in the following VR which takes place in a hotel room and looks good for it's time you get all the angles you could ask for and her acting is totally insane. Incredible VR, the perfect VR date. I recommend it to anyone who likes this theme.


AVOPVR-135 with Ranran or Igarashi Seiran which was her old stage name.

This one is rather specific but interesting nontheless. First the obivious: it has Ranran before she got her implants and to me back then she was one of the cutest girls in all of JAV VR. Also this one is a lesbian title from the point of view of the girl. I don't mind it if the girl behind the camera also takes an active role which unfortuantely is not the case here because she dosen't say anything, only Ranran is acting. Also the title is pretty old, from 2018 so the camera resolution is terrible.

But the dating part is interesting. The actually use a VR camera in outside areas which I didn't know that they were doing this in 2018 and 'you' or rather the girl has a cute date with Ranran.

To be honest the rest of the title isn't very interesting to me and outdated, but the dating part might be worth a look.

I understand your reasons, and I agree with them. It's just that in some cases, I've already given up.

On the subject of story-driven intros, I mentioned a few days ago that JAV VR is becoming more and more like American porn, in the sense that they forget about the story and go straight to the sex. It used to be one of its best qualities, but it's becoming increasingly rare. And when there is a plot, it's silly, or it's the same old thing.

But in the case of S1's debut films, they are always like that. They don't usually have a plot, they just show the actress posing or having sex in various positions. They leave the VRs with a plot for the following titles.

On the subject of the camera, when I say it's “close,” I mean in relation to what is done in 2024 and 2025. Of course, compared to 2022 or 2023, it's further away. Almost no one shoots with the camera as close as before, even Yazawa Receive has moved it further away. This year, the only VRs with the camera really close, as before, are a few titles by director Genius Knee and AJVR-270.
Of course, I would have liked ZAMPA to have place the camera closer in Kanna Seto's debut, but compared to what we see in other VRs from 2024 and 2025, even his own, it's not bad.

This ties in a bit with what I said before. These are two examples of how, years ago, they bothered to make true virtual reality. Filming on the street in realistic situations, with a plot. Now nobody does that anymore. I've only seen it in Saika Kawakita's latest VR, and although I liked it, it was a bit strange because you don't see a single person. You walk through a park or sit with her on a bench, and you don't see anyone else.

The change of Ran Ran, Alice Otsu, and others is heartbreaking... :(

Anyone who has been following this thread over the last year will surely have called me a bore for my abundant weeping and wailing with Nana Miho's latest VRs. I've been waiting for about two years for a VR with her that I like, and today I found out that she is retiring as of December 31... :hiks:

So technically there's about 4 months left for S1 to shoot some more VRs with her. I don't hold out much hope that S1 will make something that suits my tastes. For better or worse, I'll soon stop boring you guys with this... :(

I guess for young actresses, this job is very hard. Most of them only last 1 or 2 years.
At least with them I have two good VRs that I love, MDVR-283 and MDVR-298. But what annoys me as a VR user is that Yui has been active for two years, Chihiro for more than a year, and they have only shot one VR each... :(

It's great to see the wonderful Nanami Matsumoto back to VR. Yes, it's her first 8K VR. Unfortunately, it doesn't appeal to me at all. Fitch had a short run of immersive VRs, but now it's back to... well, this. Just watch the girl doing things in front of you.
I don't know if she's now an exclusive Fitch actress. I hope she shoots more VRs with other studios.
